My wife and I had just finished doing a protest march and decided to grab a little lunch. We'd heard of this place for years but never stopped so we figured, why not. It's in downtown Albany in an old building with the original tin ceilings. The menu was classic Middle Eastern with kebobs, hummus, stuffed grape leaves and so... More

Unsuspecting little restaurant. It was empty when my coworkers and I came in for lunch around noon. Very reasonable prices and delicious food! I ordered the eggplant and falafel sandwich platter. The sandwich was served fresh and hot with delicious pita chips and hummus. Perfect portions. The service was a little slow and we were a little upset that our... More

Had the combination plate with lamb kebob - everything was both authentic and delicious! Husband had kebob platter and down to the rice (not just plain white rice, but wonderfully spiced) was excellent. Will definitely return and highly recommend.

Food was delicious and prepared fresh for us. The owner was efficient, friendly and relaxed. The atmosphere was casual and quiet, allowing for conversation. Highly recommended! Falafel was tasty and the eggplant sandwich was scrumptious.

My friend and I were passing through with intentions to stop and eat due to the high review ratings. Once we arrived it had a closed sign in front with intentions of returning in an hour. I decided to call to see if I could get someone being that we have our stomachs set on this place and furthermore we... More

The restaurant was clean and service was very good. The lamb on the sandwiches were patties, not the kind of lamb they carve off in long pieces. It was very relaxing and they did not rush us out. The falafel was delicious and we all enjoyed it. We like the atmosphere of the restaurant.

We (the family) have been here several times and we enjoy it each time. The cafe is somewhat small (not a lot of tables) which adds to the cozy atmosphere. The food is excellent and there are choices for everyone's tastes. It is worth going to for a first time visit and it is a place worth returning to.

My wife and I traveled from Rutland Vermont just to check out the renowned cuisine of Mamoun's. It was definitely worth the trip. I had a great lamb dish and my wife had the falafel. We were both very pleased. Most likely Rutland will be getting about 100 middle eastern immigrants settling in the area this year. I think a... More
