We are a big group of 8 persons that came to try this dim sum outlet on the 1st day of Chinese New Year. Restaurant crowded with people but the staffs are very helpful to give out waiting number and help for seating arrangement. Serving speed is fast, nice food and everybody is happy ;-)

It was an early breakfast, the Thai tour guide brought us here. He claims this restaurant caters mainly to the locals. We had 2 bowls of Bak Kut The (pork rib soup), & 5 baskets of Dim Sum. The soup goes well with the white rice, Dim sum was just average. But the above was to be shared amongst 4 in a table.
We could have been given a longer time & more varieties with the willingness to pay instead of being restricted. So it wasn't to be a buffet breakfast but a controlled spending that was not to be our principle of this tour (we spelled clearly before our travels to the tour company). Next time, we will go alone in smaller groups & we fly in instead.... asking for a Private Local Guide (which we already has some names)

While everyone are heading to the famous dim sum in town, there's another thai dim sum which is just around the corner . The greatest part of it is, u dun hv to quee up just to wait for a seat. Many tourists comes to enjoy their bak kut teh (the herbal pork soup) and all the dim sum is only about 20 baht per plate. And i do very enjoy their pao as i am a vegetarian. Super recommend to try their black sesame and custard pao! Enjoy your breakfast with nice and fast service over there.

I usually go every week to this awesome restaurant. You can't possibly get bored with their menus. Their Dimsum are made daily so it's always fresh. If you get bored of Dim Sum. Their fried noodle with stirred-sea bass is unbeatable!!!

Dim sum is not fresh. Not more next time. And this is how the story goes. Actually I wish to try for Chokdee dim sum because my friend said Chokdee one is nice. I got a tuttut (taxi in Thailand) in front of Diamond Plaza Hotel and told him that we wished to go for Chokdee dim sum. Then tuttut told us Chokdee is permanently closed because of no business (my friends is a Thailand resident and can speak and listen well in their language). Well. He said this Cook Chai Dim Sum is much better compared to Chokdee and then tuttut brought us to Cook Chai Dim Sum. After dining, I seriously felt that being cheated because the dim sum were normal and not fresh, especially the pork and the prawn. My friend who used to took dim sum at Chokdee before said dim sum at Chokdee is much better and fresher than Cook Chai one. And accidentally I met a tourist and the tourist told me that Chokdee is not permanently closed and was just closed for 1-2 days. Omg. I just wonder is there any deal between tuttut and the owner of Cook Chai Dim Sum.
