My favorite one in HAT YAI

This restaurant serves Chinese and Thai dishes. If you are looking for traditional Thai food, this is not the best place. Kai pad king and kai pad ka pao are excellent, even if they are a little fatty. the Tot man koong are very well prepared. I also regularly take pla kapong tot: always fresh and cooked to the point The service is very fast and the prices very reasonable. It's my canteen in Hat Yai ... I love the atmosphere sabai sabai

Hatyai Food

Quality has gone down and prices have gone up! Probably due to its popularity. Their signature dish - big river prawns fried with garlic is no longer available. Their mango salad is still good though. May give it a miss in my next trip as there are other new outlets to try.

There is a good selection (probably too many) of mainly Chinese or Chinese based dishes. Cooking is fine Prices are reasonable and there is a choice of beer.

Excellent Thai Cuisine Tom Yum Kung

Thai Food - the restaurant features mostly fish with any kinds of cooking method. Recommended the Seafood Tom Yam - the combination of the taste is great... the best one. the pineapple fried rice and the fish pancake is recommended. overall no regret having the dinner here as we explore by walking to find the restaurant.

Very poor service when customers not understand what they write in bil, ask the thai friends check. They boss come look dislike us do that and like want fight the face. I come 20 year they a shop. Maybe they think they food very good or very special , for me they food is normal and no so special . Another restaurant also better then them, I come just get back some memories. If they give us so poor service, I not recommended come this restaurant

First visit after more than 2 years

The place is much quieter compared to pre Covid times probably due to the lack of Malaysian tourist. I find that the place is a slaughter house now. Ordered a cotton fish mango salad for Baht450. Really expensive. I was in Phuket and I had a much bigger sea bass for Baht250. Kan Eng is a cheap eats food with fine dining prices. Well my last time at Kan Eng Hatyai. Never order anything without stated prices.

Had 4 dished and 3 rice for 480Bt Food was tasty, service was good. Worth a return visit I think we got value for money

Well known and center of town

"Fast" Food

I had my dinner on a weekday and the restaurant was not crowded. They have an extensive english menu that took me awhile to decide what to eat. The place is big and spacious. My food was served literally right after the waitress took my order! I must say I am damn impressed with the fast service. Furthermore, it is not like the food was lukewarm. There is wok hei to the vegetables. Overall, it was a fuss free meal. Plenty of choices. Fast service. Reasonable price. Decent portion. A very pleasant meal!

Honestly so so only, crowded and tasted normal. Price was pretty more expensive than other restaurant. Service bad, I think any sg tse char do better than this

Nice Thai Chinese Restaurant with Downtown Hatyai

A friend and his family happened to visit Hatyai at the same time I was there and wanted to meet up for lunch so we decided to go for Kan Eng which is a popular Thai Chinese restaurant within walking distance of his downtown hotel. Ordered a few items, braised pork leg, gengsom fish, yam pla (fish floss salad), battered prawn, and stir-fried vegetable with roast pork. Food were tastly and fresh. Service is fast and for those who dont speak Thai it is ok because they also speak good Mandarin and some English. Menu is also in English and Thai. Satisfied meal we had there for about 1000b for 3 adults and 3 kids.
