It was my second visit here since 4 years ago - I loved the food here before and wanted to come back here again but was utterly disappointed. The waiters were rude and you were able to choose how you wanted to cook the food but this time, it was a no we are too busy so you choose from... More

Bad service, ok seafood. Check out Sang Thai instead. Anyway, won't matter much as the whole area is being vacated for a new swanky lifestyle mall.

During an evening walk in the area we just decided to step into one of the restaurants and it happened to be Chao Lay. Not being too picky, but the place was a disappointment. The atmosphere was emotionless. May-be it would have been better during daylight and with less wind so that one could enjoy the view to the sea,... More

Sorry to say but we were very disappointed with Chao Lay Hua Hin. We were there late afternoon, the place was empty. The staff were not interested of us at all - very bad service! The fish we ordered was dry not good. We will not go again. Have been in Hua Hin years ago, and remember then that really... More

I hate this place, terrible food, rude service, overpriced, long lines of people waiting for a disappoitment or upset stomach so stay away so I don't have to be in line for a table 4 2 at the best restaurant in Hua Hin

lovely views over the sea and nice to see the live seafood. However, you do not get to see which seafood is cooked for you. While there are numerous staff members, they seem to spend their time joking and texting with their friends - took me over 30 minutes to be served a drink although there was only 2 other... More

Chao Lay is located on the pier, and therefore offers a great view of the ocean. The restaurant is a great way to experience some local food and culture. The restaurant is simply furnished, and offers a variety of locally caught fish and seafood. The menu is in Thai, English and German. Also some of the staff spoke a minimum... More

We were recommended this restaurant by our travel agent. It was fantastic. Staff were very polite & helpful as what to have. We totally enjoyed our seafood. We were going to come back again but it was raining . But will do on our next visit.
