We had a walking tour arranged by our tour operator and it finished with a tapas lunch at this restaurant. Had it not been included, we would not have come across this delightful restaurant. The entrance is a small door in a wall in a cobbled street. You walk into what would appear to be a shop selling wine and... More

Quaint little place where you can enjoy good wine, coffee and tapas. It includes a tiny shop where you can buy local products.

This place is truly a gem. I found it by chance as I was walking down the Calle de Los Suspiros, looking for photo opportunities. Not only is the shop/restaurant, a good place for buying delicious products from Colonia (dulce de luche and cheese in my case), but the owners of the place - Elbio and Joaquin - are lovely... More

Spent 2 hours herewith my girlfriend. Great little hidden location. Awesome ambience and staff. Food and wine was perfect. Something very different to all the other places in Colonia. Highly recommended.

Great hidden place for romantic tapas! We loved it and would recommend it to any couple visiting Colonia. Try a glass of Tannat wine with it!

Come here for a taste of local wines, cheese and meat. Great for lunch if you are on a day trip from Buenos Aires, as food is simple and can be prepared quicky.

Amazing place to have dinner and drink a good bottle of wine. The place is unique, its building dates from the 1720's. Definitely a must at Colonia!!

After reading so many outstanding reviews of this place I practically ran from my hotel to book a reservation. The man working the front desk when I arrived was warm and friendly, we joked with each other, we talked a bit, he made me very excited to visit later in the night. When we returned in the evening, the friendly... More

Popped our heads through the (very small) door on passing and immediately decided to reserve a table for the evening - so glad we did! The place is tiny but very atmospheric, located in one of the original streets in Colonia. They have a great list of Uruguayan wines, and this really is the best place in town to sample... More

While not cheap this popular family establishment produced an fantastic selection of local wines, cheeses and other produce. The staff in the family run restaurant were friendly and efficient. A great night out.

We offer a local cuisine based on the best artisanal products of Colonia, in the most emblematic street of the old quarter of Colonia del Sacramento, the “Barrio Sur”, a World Heritage site, in a typical house of Portuguese construction of early 1700s. Wines of local vineyards, artisanal cheeses, homemade jams, olive oil, spirits, grappas, and typical pastries are part of the menu, to take or to taste at the store. Whether in a small and intimate room or at the courtyard, you can taste different appetizers based on a selection of artisanal local cheeses served with sweet and sour sauces, combined with salami, sausages, ham, vegetable tarts, and chicken brochette. In winter, homemade soups of onion or pumpkin; in summer, salads.
