Happy Heart in Da Nang is a delightful breakfast spot that offers a diverse range of options to start your day right. From classic American favorites to local twists, this cozy café delivers a satisfying breakfast experience.
Happy Heart’s interior is warm and inviting, with a blend of modern comfort and Vietnamese charm. The bright and airy space, complemented by cheerful décor, creates a relaxing environment perfect for enjoying a leisurely breakfast.
The staff are friendly and attentive, contributing to the café’s welcoming atmosphere.
We ordered below food;
Chicken Quesadilla The quesadilla is a flavorful choice, featuring well-seasoned chicken with a good melt of cheese. The tortilla is crispy on the outside while remaining soft inside, and it’s served with a side of salsa and sour cream that enhance the overall taste.
Grilled Cheese: A comfort food classic, the grilled cheese at Happy Heart hits all the right notes. The bread is perfectly toasted, with a generous layer of melted cheese that’s both gooey and satisfying. It’s a simple yet delicious option for those who enjoy straightforward, well-executed comfort food.
Bagel: The bagel is fresh. It’s a great choice for a lighter breakfast or if you’re in the mood for something simple. Paired with cream cheese and perhaps a slice of smoked salmon, it’s a satisfying start to the day.
Pancakes with Fruit: The pancakes are fluffy and golden brown, served with a colorful assortment of fresh fruit. The fruit topping adds a burst of freshness and a natural sweetness that complements the pancakes perfectly. It’s a great option for those who enjoy a sweeter breakfast.
American Breakfast: The American breakfast plate is hearty and satisfying, featuring classic items like eggs cooked to your preference, crispy bacon, and golden hash browns. It’s a well-rounded meal that offers a comforting taste of home.
If you're looking for a cream cheese cake there, you’re in for a treat!
The prices are reasonable considering the quality and portion sizes of the dishes. It’s an excellent choice for a filling breakfast that won’t break the bank.
Happy Heart in Da Nang excels in providing a diverse breakfast menu that caters to various tastes. Whether you’re in the mood for a hearty American breakfast or a simple grilled cheese, this café delivers with both flavor and quality. It’s a great spot to enjoy a relaxing breakfast and start your day on a positive note.

Wow! My husband and I have eaten here several times while we have been in Da Nang. This is a cute, cosy and welcoming cafe. The food and beverages are delicious. We especially enjoyed the Caesar Salad, Apple Pie, Avocado Toast, Hamburgers (It could be an Award Winning Hamburger Bun) Banana Bread, Cappucino, and Sausage Patties. The main part is that they cook with love with the best of their ability. The staff get the food out in a timely manner, which we can't say for every restaurant in Da Nang. They have daily and weekly specials, plus they add new foods to their menu such as biscuits and gravy, which I hear are very good. A number of the employees who prepare and make the food are deaf, plus some of the waiters. The owner, Thao, is very happy and joyous. She definitely has a happy heart. She is always lending a helping hand to those in need in her community. Their care and the delicious food all make for a delightful experience. We will return again for our next visit to Da Nang.

great breakfast and bonus is the owner hires and trains deaf people for serving to bakery. the American breakfast was too much for me so they were fine with me ordering just some parts of it. waffle and fruit good for semi-light breakfast, didn't try their homemade bagels. meet new friends here, some do charity work as semi-expats and can give advice about haircut, massage, you name it.

What an amazing little cafe. Upon walking the street the kids spotted some puppies & had to pat them. While there a beautiful lady was translating for us & telling us about the puppies, as we left we entered the cafe next door & what do you know the beautiful lady translating for us was the owner. Her & her husband are so friendly & welcoming.
The food was top notch, SO good! 1st place we have found that ALL of us have left without a complaint. We ordered pizzas which were SO good, Mexican salad & to top it off we had the apple pie which was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be coming back here.
Owner is such a beautiful, kind lady even more so after reading the story of the meaning behind cafe "happy hearts" the staff here were so helpful & lovely.
We left the cafe with full hearts & full bellys.
Thank you xo

We have been to this lovely little cafe a couple of times and will definitely return. The Chicken salad was so fresh and so tasty, it came with Mango and Bacon and a tasty dressing. All the staff are sooo friendly and really make you welcome.

I had to fortune of going to Happy Heart Cafe thanks to my daughter who lives locally in Da Nang. I had been hearing of this restaurant for two years and finally got to go once I arrived here for a visit. The experience was everything I had imagined from the amazing food and the most loving a gracious owner, Thao. She has created a masterpiece of a friendly location with the best food! I chose to eat here numerous times during my stay and brought others who were equally impressed. Not only the food, but her commitment to hiring hearing impaired and her work around the community is so amazing. Thank you Thao for giving me a little burst of Western home cooking with true love baked in!

A great place for a delicious breakfast, we tried many other places and this was by far the best. The food was fresh and delicious, the service was friendly and I was able to put my sign language to use.
The owner is a lovely lady and supports staff with a disability to be employed.
Can’t wait to come back next year!

I am a very fussy eater as well as being vegetarian so being a typical westerner I like to eat western food. I googled places and this one came up and was the best thing I did. We went for breakfast and it was so good we went back for dinner, it was so sad we found this near the end of our trip otherwise I would have eaten there for every meal. The menu had lots of vegetarian options as well as meat options so my partner was happy. The food was unreal and tasted amazing! I couldn’t have been happier and when I realised that the cafe also helps support people with disabilities it was the cherry on top of the amazing cake. It’s rare I ever write reviews but this place was so good I felt I had too!

The place is in street with joints just like this one. Food was great and they employed specially abled people as the restaurant staff. The only downside being they don't accept cards. We're short of some money and they got us covered. Heartwarming experience!!

Good food, good service, good people. Dined here at least 6 times, all very good! Hubby particularly liked the apple pie, which he had several times after his breakfast. He only did this on beach days though because he had to sleep off his over indulgence lol

Beautiful little cafe. I loved the coconut banana smoothie.
Owners story is quite beautiful. Her staff are all locals that have disabilities and are hard of hearing. She has the Sign language Alphabet posted behind the counter which I thought was a sweet touch. We went multiple times after it was recommended by a guest at our hotel.

I can’t say enough about this restaurant, the staff, owners and food.
We were in DaNang for four days and ate there three times. There are plenty of really good other choices in the area, but go once, and you’ll come back. Thao has such a good heart, the mission of Happy Heart is to give the deaf and less fortunate a place to learn a lifelong skill. I hope she’s there when you go; you’ll see she shines with compassion and happiness.

I had the best American-style breakfast I’ve had in more than a year at Happy Heart. It was high-quality, home style food served by friendly, attentive wait staff. The menu is very vegetarian-friendly, and the portions are generous. It also supports a good cause.

This is a special place. Many of the employees are deaf or have other disabilities. The food is very good. The coffee is top notch as well. The breads are all baked on premises. If you want a quick coffee, a slow lounge around and drink slowly coffee or a great breakfast or lunch, this is a good choice.

Food was excellent!
Service was first class!
Atmosphere was peaceful & a very relaxing ambiance!
Contrary to my last review 'loud mouth Americans' who spoilt the atmosphere - my recent visit today with friends was first class from the magnificent English breakfast, the very attentive staff to the peaceful, relaxing atmosphere!
Highly recommended! - do not miss visiting this restaurant!
