One of Nagoya's specialty dishes, the red miso katsu was delicious and enjoyed by the whole family. We visited on a Saturday night but gave it a miss as the queue was very long. We tried again on a Tuesday night when there was no queue. Service was efficient and the pork was juicy and covered with delicious miso sauce.... More

We were a part of 5 and waited 45 min to an hour to be seated. Yes there is a line to wait in however most pastries were being seated before us. Why? Because they had 1 table to sit 5 on the second floor. Could they have put two smaller tables together? Of course, however thinking outside the box... More

Deep fried pork with a special miso sauce using Nagoya's Hatcho miso. Teppan Miso Katsu comes sizzling on an iron plate. Filet Katsu is tender and easy to eat.

So far, this is my favourite place for miso cats. The sauce is not too sweet plus there is a good meat-fat ratio in the tonkatsu. We also had a serving of ebi furai during our visit, which was also good.

I love this pork cutlet for 30 years. Especially "waraji tonkatsu" with miso sauce is perfect! "waraji tonkatsu" is like a schnitzel in Vienna, I think. You may have another bowl of rice for free. I recommend here.

Along with Yamamotoya (misonikomi udon), this is a must visit any time I'm in Nagoya. You can get tonkatsu anywhere but misokatsu (tonkatsu with mid sauce) is a local delicacy. Nagoya is famous for its cuisine using miso. This is popular with locals so be prepared to wait.

The Nagoyans love their pork. This restaurant serves pork cutlets in miso sauce called misokatsu and the waiting line extends out into the street. We were the only foreigners. Glad to know the Japanese restaurants that have opened in the Philippines are already comparable in quality because once we tasted the dishes at Yabaton we knew if we ever craved... More

We arrived here at 530 pm, led by the cheery fat pig sign on top of the building. We were shown upstairs promptly. The place quickly filled up with locals. There's an English menu provided. The staff were chirpy and showed us how to eat the miso katsu. The miso sauce is drenched upon the katsu which was fatty and... More

This is a Nagoya special pork chop (or actually it's the sauce that is a Nagoya specialty) that taste amazing! I was told by my Japanese friend that other Japanese people not native to Nagoya don't like it as much because it can be a bit too salty but I liked it :) As someone else mentioned, the port is... The food was well prepared and the miso sauce is incredible. The place wasn't crowded on a Monday night. Would recommend for other visitors.
