Both shiromaru (white) and akamaru (red) ramen were very tasty. The noodle was a bit softer and thinner than other Japanese ramen noodle. You may choose the firmness of the noodle. The soup had typical Hakata deep taste but not greasy. Some liked white original soup and others favored red soup. Staff was attentive and polite. Late in the evening... More

This is the original branch of Ippudo. In Fukuoka, where Ramen is everywhere, this restaurant doesn't stand-out from the rest because most, if not all, ramen restaurant in this city are very good. But ippudo being popular globally, you will want to visit this place at least once. Food is good here, can't go wrong with it.

I thought that I should come to Ippudo since it originated from Kyushu, sadly I was quite underwhelmed. I thought the Ramen was not too bad, but the atmosphere was greatly lacking. It was pretty quiet when I went on a Tuesday night for dinner. Perhaps there are now so many more choices for diners and locals to choose from..... More

The quality of ramen soup base was compatible with Ichiran, more less sMe price. Soup base was just a little bit less thick, but overall was good. There were no vending machines, and had waiters and waitress's serving you. Apart com ramen, fried dumpling was signature you are not affordable to miss. You are highly recommended to try. Also it... Ee enjoyed a tasty Akamuru Modern ramen in Daimyo. Despite being a chain around the globe, the lunch was very good, service correct and price OK. The problem is the English level and they only serve beer or ice tea.

This is the original store, tucked away in a small corner, but with great food and warm service, its easy to see why Ippudo is an international chain. The noodles are great here as they are anywhere, but having tried them in different countries, its somehow the best in Japan, and where else in Japan but the original store.

Good foood and good service for a reasonable price. No wonder this franchise has gained international recognition. And it all started here... in Fukuoka. Exellent ramen.

I came here 3 years ago and the taste didn't change. They became more popular with foreigners since then and have an english menu with pictures as well. delicious but the beer is a bit overpriced. order the akamaru (red sauce) with the gyoza. Really delicious.

Thank Larissa C
