Hadn’t been to Chez Papa for too long because of Covid, but finally got there last night. Shared the prawn and scallop gratin, escargots, wagyu steak and sirloin with a friend. Had the food with two bottles of red burgundy recommended by owner-chef Shereen. I’ll...say this : you simply cannot get that quality of food at that price. The crust of their bread is super crispy and light and the insides were fluffy and just the right density. Perfect with butter. Beef dishes were perfectly executed to our required doneness and I love their truffle fries. Broccoli served with the steaks were so nicely green and crunchy. Definitely cooked only when ordered. But don’t take my word for it. Check it out yourselves! And the two burgundies were delicious. When you visit, check your their French wine offering.More

For over 20 years Chez Papa has been serving the best French cuisine in Johor. The service is excellent and the quality of the food and the variety is as good as you would get in France in a similar style bistro. Not only is...their a great menu but also a wonderful daily specials menu where the best of French cuisine is offered . Air flown oysters, mussels and fish from France are among the many offerings. The cheese selection is as good as any restaurant in Malaysia and with an extensive wine selection, favouring of course the great French vintages, you cannot but enjoy a wonderful night at Chez Papa. Great ambience with very helpful staffs. Menus are interesting & daily specials are great to try. Had wagyu beef which is very tender& good marbling that melts in your mouth. Had dinner for two, right off the bat our server was really friendly and helpful. We ordered the duck stew and vegetarian pasta as our main courses, it was nothing short than amazing. The food portion was perfect, price was great. Loved it! Will be...going back for sure <3 !More

Was here with my wife for dinner. Very good ambient for a perfect date. Food was perfect except for the escargot which we felt should be cheezy (like what we had in france).
