Service was attentive and friendly , food serve fast , we had scallop stir fry , the house special salted egg stuffed in calamari , claypot sea cucumber etc , I forgot to take photo , we were so hungry after taking the ferry from...tioman and it was 3pm .. this is the only seafood restaurant which opened . The salted egg stuffed squid is a must have. Sweet sour pork, steamed grouper, scallops, mixed vegetables, belacan kangkong and others on the menu are equally tasty. To avoid disappointment, one can book the reservation plus the dishes they wish to devour. A good place...to meet and chat with friends. Perfect sunday lunch after pulau rawa visit. Ordered for 2person meal. One fried sotong, fresh steam big prawn, seaweed soup. Kinda full and tasted nice fresh seafood. At first glance , and perhaps second , mersing doesn’t have a lot to offer and is mainly a necessary stop over night before everyone heads off to Tioman . This restaurant doesn’t look like much from the outside but the food is great and...the salted egg yolk cooked inside the squid was a first for me . I haven’t tried all the restaurants here ( there is a dominos and a kfc though ), but this place is great .More

We had a stopover dinner here on a quiet midweek evening on our way to Tioman. The much talked about signature salted egg wrapped in squid roll was definitely unique and interesting in its presentation .It was good .I liked the scallop dish with mix...veges best , it hit the right spot and they were generous with the scallops. Bitter gourd soup and omellete with oysters complement the rest. Lady host was courteous and knowledgable in recommending dishes according to our wants. After 2 days of resort style buffet dinner and try out this chinese seafood restaurant on our way back to kuala lumpur. Very friendly host and tasty food. We tried to have dinner here as it came highly recommended. However they were closing on our arrival as they had had a busy day and had run out of seafood !! Based on this fact I have to give them 5 stars !!
After 2days in Tioman and we are craving for seafood and good Chinese food. We were recommended to this place to try out. Order about 8-9 items.. I prefer the soup (seaweed), salted egg Sotong & Crab.. Soup were clear soup and is taste good.....in a hot hot day. Salted Egg sotong is their specialty so die die must eat.. We were on our way to JB when passed by Mersing. Had lunch here and were delighted by the standard of the food here. The salted fried rice and LaLa soup were fantastic. Pork ribs and salted egg York stuffed squid was simply great! Must...try too.. boss is friendly too.More
After having found the place closed when I was last in town, I encountered it open this visit. Because of the good reviews, I gave it a try. My welcome was almost non existent, but I was allowed to pick my table in the otherwise...empty restaurant. I ordered fresh BBQ cuttlefish (sold by weight), and a mixed stir fry vegetable. The vegetable, by far, was the star performer. The sotong was rubbery, and the only BBQ part about it was the spice it was dredged in, after it came out of a very oily wok. It tasted OK, but was not near as good as I had expected. Maybe I should have gone for the salted egg sotong, that they are commended for in other reviews. The price was affordable, about MYR 50, including drink, tax and tip. The service was adequate, if aloof. Meh.More
