So pleased we ate here last night. Our tabbouleh and meat humous starters were delish and our lamb kebab mains were the best. Quick service, friendly staff, REALLY tasty food, decent sized portions, reasonably priced for the food quality, plenty of ceiling fans to keep the temperature down. What's not to love. Go there, you won't be disappointed!

Yasmin is definitely the best of the Arabic (and specifically Syrian) restaurants that have sprung up in the Chenang area. The ambiance and decor is fairly upmarket, and the place is deservedly popular. One often has to wait a short time for a table; we were lucky to be seated immediately.
As to be expected with Arabic food, the menu is meat heavy when it comes to mains, but there there is sufficient variety amongst the mezze dishes to keep us two vegetarians happy. We ordered a Greek salad, baba ganoush, hummus, and tabouleh, served with flatbread of course, which were all nicely presented and very tasty. I loved the pomegranate seeds with the dips, and the large amount of parsley in the tabouleh - delicious. We also enjoyed the lemon mint drink which was refreshing and went well with the food.
Service was very charming and courteous, certainly of a much higher professional standard than in most places in the area. Prices are not the cheapest, but very reasonable for the standard of food served. Our meal was MYR122 before tip. Worth a visit!

We were very impressed with the quality of the food at this Syrian restaurant up the far end of the Main Street towards the airport
The hummus and tabbouleh were both superb as were the chicken skewers. In addition the flat bread was amazing
Service was fast efficient and friendly
They do not service alcohol but more than happy if you BYO
Prices very reasonable

Basically we went for lunch as a group of 12 ppl.
Items are really expensive and quantity is too less.
Lamb mandis had more bone than meat, and the portion of meat was again too small.
They served us bad yoghurt too.
And the shawarma tahini sauce was bitter.
Overall, a very bad experience.

Amazing experience with a group of family and friends. Accommodating staff, great English, great food - recommend chicken shawarma platter, hummus and bread, Arayas lamb with cheese!
Manager was excellent and service exceptional.
Also very clean toilets and well priced - will be going back!

Ate here one evening as a change from our hotel restaurant. Very popular albeit we managed to squeeze in without a booking.
Our starters were superb. My wife’s falafels were the best we’ve tasted and my hummus with meat was superb - accompanied by bbq’d flatbreqds from the bbq on the pavement outside.
Mains were a little more mixed. I had a chicken and rice dish with aubergines which was excellent but my wife’s lamb shank was declared a miss - not much meat and a bit dry. To be honest the starters were so filling we could easily have shared my main course and still walked away replete.
The only alcohol on the menu was Tiger beer which was fine by us.

From what we were satisfied we went to dinner two nights, they offer a wide variety of dishes, both vegetarian, meat and fish. We tried a bit of everything and were super satisfied. For those who want to change from the usual Thai, Malaysian or Chinese cuisine, this restaurant is for you. I highly recommend it and hope to return one day

We loved the food, the ambiance and the service....it was simply amazing!!! The server really helped us ordering the right food, all the best picks that would be best for the family!! The food was cooked to the best and lamb was mouth watering!!
My parents were craving for tea and the restaurant was kind enough to have some made on special request!!

This place, to put it simply, is highly recommended. We walked in on a Friday afternoon at around 3 pm and we were greeted by a pleasant waiter.
All our orders were taken and we soon got our appetizers and then followed by the main dishes. The service was excellent and they had anything and everything available in the menu despite the timing.
The food was delicious! The kebabs, the breads, and the salads were all good! We finished everything……
I recommend you try the appetizer platter and the kebab platter…. It has the right amount of portions to taste the variety that’s available…..

The chicken kebab was some of the best we have ever had. Succulent and tender with some nice spice mix. The lamb mince and cheese style flatbread pizza was also delicious with the tangy hummus. We must give credit to the server with the red hat, who was working so hard that night and making sure everyone had their food and was happy - you made our night, thank you.
Definitely one of the better places in Langkawi for a meal.

I could taste the authenticity of the food here. Because, the sauce of the moussaka and the chosen ingredients blended perfectly together.
The hospitality is also exceptional. We enjoyed complimentary bread and mint tea, and were treated very friendly.
For a 5/5 star rating, I would’ve liked to see a ‘X factor’.

This food was exceptionally good!
We felt really welcome when walking in and our food order was taken promptly.
The chicken shish had such a lovely flavour and the fresh bread was just delicious!

Good ambience, good food and great service.
The staff was very accommodating with customizing some dishes based on our taste. We had Halabi Lamb Kabab, Lamb Maklouba, Chicken Mandy with Mushroom Soup. We topped these up with mint tea and Sheesha. The lamb was succulent and the Halabi Kabab came with a delicious tomato based gravy.
Good for a casual visit with friends and family. The place is also kid friendly.

We arrived at Langkawi on Tuesday 17th March 2020....the day before the unfortunate lockdown and in the evening found this restaurant for our 1st meal. The food is absolutely fabulous, tasty, good size portions and value for money. We ate in the restaurant that night but from the next day Wednesday 18th all the restaurants were unable to offer sit down service......only takeaway.
We returned to the Yasmin for the remainder of our 8 night stay as the staff were so polite and friendly and always gave great service.
During our stay we tried the Arabic salad, half BBQ chicken, BBQ fish, lamb chunks, mixed kebab, spaghetti Bolognese, chicken mandi, and the best lamb moussaka we have ever tasted. The food was cooked while we waited and was very hot, very tasty and cooked to perfection.
I would strongly recommend you eat at this Arabic/Syrian restaurant as all the guys were so friendly and happy to see us every night (including chef) and every dish we ordered was delicious.
Thank you Yasmin for your fantastic hospitality and ensuring we were well fed throughout our 9 day vacation.
Hopefully we will return next year when circumstances will be different to visit other areas of the island that we were unable to do and we will most definitely return to Yasmin.
