Restoran Nasi Ulam Cikgu has 3 outlets and the one at Kampung Kraftangan is the primary one. My family and I came here for lunch. It is self-service and thus It was really embarrassing when we have to be shown the correct way of eating nasi ulam. Using daun sambung nyawa picking up fish soaked in sauce and eat with rice. The fried catfish was very delicious - crispy on the outside and sweet meat on the inside. We will return if we come to KB again. Thank you Cikgu.

Great selection of cooked food and ulam (fresh and cooked herbs and vegetables). Highly recommend the ayam percik (grilled chicken in spicy coconut sauce) - has a nice charred taste, juicy meat and addictive sauce. Personally I also liked the ayam goreng (fried chicken) as the skin is crispy and the meat moist, you know it’s especially good when they have to cook new batches to top up. Both the Keli goreng (fried catfish) and Keli Gulai (catfish in lemak sauce) were good too. We were lucky as Mat (I think one of the manager there) was very helpful teaching us how to mix the sauce (sambal, mango slices, cut lemongrass, sliced onions, chili padi, lime and the star is to add shredded Ikan meat in this mix). SO SO GOOD as a condiment with the cooked dishes and herbs! Went on a Saturday afternoon and was packed! Luckily there were quite a lot of seatings, one at the main area, one located below the craft museum which had air con seatings. Highly recommended for a good nasi ulam in terms of taste and culture! And thanks to Mat for my first great nasi ulam experience.

There are 2 nasi ulam restaurants in this area, one is located inside the Handicraft Village while the other is just next to the Handicraft Village. Both restaurants carry the same name. We went to the one inside the Village. Good variety for Nasi Ulam and the sambal is sooooo amazing!!! Not overly spicy. The ayam perchik was good too, the chicken was moist and not dry. No regrets Highly recommended

Best nasi ulam in Kota Bharu. Famous for its fried cat fish & plain fried chicken(turmeric + salt). Its ikan patin is also a hit. You have to try grilledsardines with budu.

Authentic local dishes. They serve the local dishes with rice and not compromising in its local taste. Rural folks can eat here and surprisingly many outside visitors like it too.

Anyone craving for traditional Kelantanese "kampung" food? This is where you should go. However, you must be ready for preparing your own table. It is hjoundred percent self- service! Unless you have prior booking. As a local, I have to mention that the quality of food has down-graded over the years. It is not the same as when the father(deceased) used to run the place.

This place is really crowded during lunch hour. We had to wait for around 10 minutes to get a table. You could call and book for a table to avoid waiting. Food tasted ok and price was cheap. A must go if you come to Kelantan

Whenever you in nearby area, this is the place that you must not miss to go for you lunch. Offers a kampung (countryside) style menu with wide variety of dishes. A good place if you a veggie lover, all sort of ulam can be found here. Price is reasonably cheap too. There are two wings, choose a suitable table accordingly. Might be crowded during lunch especially in the weekend, so plan you trip wisely.
