Here in Micasa Cafe, we brew with pasion, and cook with love, just hoping you find yourself comfort and peace, in this city of Kuantan. Kuantan, a lovely town that stays in a moderate scale: not over urbanised to be too hectic, but not too under develop to be too rural. An outsider has to explore in order to unravel its beauty.

The one thing that speaks for this joint is the river view location. It is at ground level only so you do not get the elevated view but it seems quiet and shady (sun sets on other side with the adjoining tall hotel building blocking the late afternoon sun). No, you do not get to see the sunset but the sunrise (if it is open in the morning). It has a decent selection of desserts, pasta, coffee and ice blends. Its not cheap eat by east coast standard (3 of us had snacks n drinks that came to RM70). It is part of the Mega View hotel. Restaurant has two sections: fan cooled patio and air-cond room (comes with coffee and blender noise) but the glass walls will not deny you of the sea view. Staff is friendly. Parking not an issue as the hotel car park is ample and free. In all, the restaurant is a great place to be.

Lousy service

Placed order for sphaghetti clams and aglio olio with mushroom. The former came with no cutlery. I guess they expect us to eat with our fingers. Waited and waited for the latter. The next table who came in later then me had their sphaghetti. No sign of mine coming inspite of me reminding the waitress. So, cancelled my order. The food is good but if the service us so bad and so lousy, then not worth it. Hope the owner view this review and improve. Not recommended if you don't have time to spare.

Wonderful Cafe

Each time at kuantan, is a must to dine here. Food is superb and price is reasonable. Staff are friendly and environment is cosy.

More of Western and Japanese food are served here. The staff are very nice, friendly and courteous and render service with a smile. Special mention of Najah and Nabihah who have great customer skills.

Little Surprised - Good service

Heard about it. Now been there. Quick service. Despite Sunday lunch crowd. Nestled river front. Respite from the heat. Indoor & outdoor seating (30/70). Food served in good portions. Thus the price but still affordable. Noticed that all staff well trained. Courteous with ready smiles and quick to respond. The table was tastefully laid. All neat and tidy such a welcome. Did not ask but maybe have nite live music. If had a choice would be back.

Nice view

Facing the Sungai Kuantan. Nice ambience to hang out with family and friends. Foods and drinks are all good even a bit pricey. The cafe is wheelchair accessible through the Megaview Hotel entrance next door. You can sit there admire the scenery and see the fishing boats sail along the river.

Cozy atmosphere & Location is amazing

The view from this cafe is absolutely stunning. I had the ferris wheel snack set with green tea latte, the fried snacks a bit oily and greasy. Korean ramen tastes a bit bland and slightly expensive!! Spaghetti salted egg yolk calamari is so delicious ! Must try.

Nice ambient

This restaurant of Mega View Hotel by the Kuantan river provides good and variety of fusion foods in a nice ambience. It can get too hot during the day but much better towards the evening. Foods are nice, I keep coming back for the “rojak buah” but don’t order their Kimchi Ramen, it taste exactly like maggi curry letops.
