Disappointed as didn’t manage to try the beggar chicken which already sold out upon arrival. Ordered their signature prawn which is really good, a must try. Other than that, the salted chicken, pork and vegetables all are good as well with very affordable price.

We thought we were going to beat the queue going early, a line already formed. It's really fresh steamed grouper with spring onions and ginger, thoroughly enjoyed it. We ordered simple dishes, tofu and vegetables. It was really good. It must be said that working moms leave their tiffing carriers and pot at the restaurant for their takeaway. Also, I am impressed with the volume of takeaway from 6pm to 7pm. At the...time most table has been occupied.More

The ambience of the place is down to earth and there is no air-conditioning. Most of the patrons were regulars and local folks. The place was packed for weekend dining and there was a queue for walk-in customers. Those who booked via telephone were not...so discreetly ushered to empty tables in the far back of the restaurant. (It was not openly acknowledged that booking via telephone was possible.) With patience, one shall be rewarded with good food. The servings were large even though we specify "small" for our group of 4 pax. All the dishes arrived piping hot and the taste were like "mom's cooking". The bill did not put a dent into our pocket which turned out to be a surprise because one of the dishes ordered (fish) would have cost twice the amount if we were to have the same in Kuala Lumpur. All in all, we had a good meal to fill our bellies. A definite place to revisit if we were ever to be in Kuantan again.More
