Food and drinks are good but not exceptional. Customer service is a bit unprofessional. The service is slightly unfriendly and cold. You get the impression of not being welcome. And although the entire café is empty, you are asked to pay before you are served,...which gives a strange impression. All in all, not particularly recommended. The problem here is not the cafe itself (furnishings, food) but the staff.More

It was like a dream came true. As I entered the cafe, there was a deja vu moment. It took me a good 1 minute to realize that I recently saw a tele-movie that featured this unique Cafe. The ambience made me feel very much...welcomed. They served very good hipsters coffees & cakes & desserts. I love everything about this placeMore

Repeat visit after many years. The ambiance is always great, feel relax while dining. Service should improve a bit as an order was forgotten. Place can be full as limited tables. The coconut waffle is good. Sure will drop by again. Cheers

Horrible service! Food came wrong and they blamed customers for not looking at the receipt! I can’t express how disappointed I’m. If you travelling to Kuantan, this is NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!

It’s all about the ambience! A rustic clean experience. Good things take time so if you just need a quiet pleasant place to sit, think and soak up a good hour or so with a strong coffee and a croissant on a bric a brac...street, enjoy.More

Tjantek (Indonesian spelling convention before 1972) is a stylish form of the Malay word "cantik" meaning beautiful. It is more apt to describe it as rustic as one dines amidst the retro-style setting. The shop itself is of the older generation shop house where in...those days the owner lives on the floor above. One could still see the wooded steps and the timber joists. The shop's front portion has the walkway tables and the main shop house section while the back portion has 2 sections: the garden section that has 4 tables and the back portion near the kitchen that has tables. There are no air conditioners although the fans provide sufficient breeze. Food is mainly western fusion and they have selection of fruit juice concoction as well as coffee and tea. We had grilled chicken served with black pepper sauce but it will only spoil the original smoky grill taste. Carbonara and prawn aglio were also tastefully done. Service can be a tad slow but it was worth the wait. While waiting, wander around the shops to observe the myriads of antiques on display. A must visit when one is in Kuantan.More

About to order, my daughter needed to use the toilet. The staffs mentioned No toilet. When inquired the reason. They mentioned because of MCO. So, I asked where would the staff go when they needed to use the toilet.i was shocked and this is so...inhuman. The waiter mentionted they wait till break time and walk to the mall or shell petrol pump. Which doesn't seem close. Shell was 300m and needed to cross the road. Please do read up on the policies of toilet cleaning during rmco. We went to another cafe where they had super clean toilets with welcoming staffs.More

The cafe setting is cosy. But it doesn't has much of variety and the taste of the food is flat. Serving is slow too. Music is too loud. Price is above average.

Such a nice ambience at night with the calming noise from cars plus with soulful music in the background. This cafe stands strong for 18years already!! Cool spots for photographers and for you to update your Instagram feed! Foods are superb delicious. I love the...Tuna Spaghetti Aglio Olio & a must try drink is Honey Lemon Tea (with sugar on the brim of the glass). Cooked by the owner herself. Very nice hospitality. They treat us like family 💕More
