Sink your teeth into yummy chee cheong fun, Ipoh style. Order some beef balls to go with it. Mixed pork satay is a must when dining there and to top off the meal, caramel custard is mandatory! Delightful hawker fare served through many generations ❤️

Came here last week and it was still easy to get a table without having to wait or queue. You have to register your ID and do a temperature check. Comparing this to when it was always crowded, the 'atmosphere' has gone, a bit of...the taste, too !!More

Too many tourists went there and food was very disappointed and too crowded!! The food not as nice as those day!!! For a bowl of Ipoh Hor Fun have to wait for 45 minutes, very small bowl and charged expensive, really not worth it. Have...to share table with other tourists ;((( We Can find much much better Ipoh Hor Fun at other places like at Moon Demoon Kopitiam. Moreover, very hard to find parking and private parking fees is not cheap, same as KL price!! I won’t bother to go back there anymore, really not worth it!!!!!More

Overated Kai si hor fun at Thean Chun cost RM8 for a large serving. Chicken and prawns were absolutely tasteless. Price has increased due to in flux of tourist to the coffee shop leading to unscrupulous prices. Same for the egg custard @ RM3 per...serving. left a bad after taste Totally disappointed with the street food at Thean ChunMore

The best place to try all famous Ipoh street foods. Always crowded & difficult to park your car nearby. Egg custard is a good try

This restaurant is rated one of the top five in Ipoh for their chicken hor fun and the reviews are right. The noodles are fantastic. Unfortunately, with fame comes crowd and this place is packed. During peak lunch time be prepared to wait, first for...a table and then for your noodles. I would advise that you place your noodles order with the young lady manning the book at the front (beside the elderly chef chopping up the chicken) before lining up to get seated. And by lining up, I mean standing behind those diners you feel will finish their meal fastest. Again, my advice would be to line up behind someone who is eating their noodles, since these are usually the last course to eat. Once you are finally seated, feel free to order satay, chee chong fun and caramel pudding to eat as you wait patiently for your noodles.More

Hectic experience. Good idea to get a lift to the shop as parking nearby was impossible at the time we went. Someone had to stay with the car so we took turns to eat. Finding a seat was another big problem at peak hour, but...the nice lady helped point us to wait at the next vacating table. The next time we go, we would sit at one of the neighbouring shops and order our satay and whatever is allowed across. Caramel custard is quite good. Satay sauce is very nice, not heavy on sugar, and has chunky peanuts. Wasn’t able to order the chicken prawn noodles due to the long wait. Duck egg char kuey teow and pohpiah from the shop next door is quite good, and the bean sprout chicken from the shop on the other side is quite nice too, generous serving of rice.More

First time trying and we ordered 5 sticks each of pork and chicken (10 sticks). We had to another another 10 sticks cos it's so tasty and the meat is tender. Love the chunky peanuts gravy. Service was fast but have to wait for empty...table. Went on Sunday and the crowd was overwhelming.More

For the chicken hor fun (noodles) you usually get their attention (as it's rather crowded always). If you're sited far you can proceed to stall and order and let them know roughly where you are sitting. For the rest you just... More

From 8am to 3.15 pm. (the best time to patron the restaurant) After 3.15pm, the broth could be diluted sometimes due to overwhelming customers. (the broth is what it matters.)
