This is one of the most famous hor fun shops in the old town area and packed with tourist. It is also famous for its custard caramel. You should only go there during non festive season.

A charming local coffeeshop with yummy eateries. The Hor fun is particularly smooth and soft. There are 2 Hor fun stalls in the same coffeeshop, I tried both. The ice coffee is so fragrant, only RM2.50 per glass.

I had Hor Fun, pork and pork liver Satay and caramel custard at this coffee shop in Concubine Lane, encountering no queue at 3 pm. Was told by friendly stall owner that the Hor Fun, with chicken and prawns, is to be taken in soup...and not dry version. It was tasty and made for a nice light meal together with Satay which came with a delicious sauce. I have not eaten pork liver satay before and was happy with the taste and texture. The crème caramel was pretty good, unusual in that it was served in a local coffee shop. It was an interesting snack time in a typical Ipoh messy, crowded and bustling coffee shop.More

Packed packed packed . Even more packed during holidays . Come early or come later and wait ! Typical Ipoh Kopitiam setup . Don’t expect cafe settings as it’s not meant to be . Food is pretty good … had the kai si hor fun...with ngar choi, satay, caramel pudding and kopi c kosong . Didn’t need to wait too long for the food. Overall , as good as it can get today. Recommend to go and give it a try . Cravings satisfied with this trip !More

Came early for a bowl of curry mee and coffee. Do come early to avoid the crowds. You can order food from Kong Heng next door too.

This coffee shop offers several goumet hawkers that peddle great authentic Asian cooking from Ipoh. From the delicious soft hor fun noodles of the Kai See Hor Fun man to the Beef Brisket & Tripe Noodles lady to the smooth Chee Cheong Fun man to...the Pork & Offal Satay man, this place oozes 'flavor' everywhere you turn. Not to forget one can also order other dishes like Poppiah and fried noodles from next door (another coffee shop with more hawkers). To finish off, one must not forget the world famous caramel custard and washed down with a cup of hot Ipoh white coffee. Whenever I visit Ipoh, I try to eat here at least twice if I can!More

Oct2022. Very crowded and I had to wait sometime before I could get a table. I tried the Ipoh Kai Si Hor Fun (Hor Fun in soup) and I liked it. I really like this original Ipoh clearer-soup version. The taste & form is very...different from the sticky darker sauce type of "Ipoh Hor Fun" sold in Singapore. I also tried the custard pudding but found it to be nothing special. This visit brought back memories of the last time I visited this shop 20 years ago, but back then it was not crowded at all. The Soup Hor Fun was just as good back then. FrancisTLim.More

Had lunch here where we went in search of Ipoh Hor Fun, and am surprised it was a soup Kway Teow Version and not the dry type with a thicker sticky sauce we have in Singapore. Tastes alright but not wow, it was more like...a shredded chicken noodle soup dish. Satay was ordered from another stall in the same place. Both were really affordable though.More

If you are visiting this kopitiam, is a must to try out the white flat noodle (chee cheong fun), it is now operating by the 3rd generation. Definitely an authentic food you must give a try.

It's a classic kopitiam. I suggest finding a table before 9 a.m., then ordering noodles (kasi hor fun) at the front because they take the longest. Get a kopi and a few skewers of pork satay (hard to find elsewhere!) while you wait. Maybe a...soft, fresh spring roll in plum or date sauce. Conclude with a custard. Go home and take a nap. You have conquered Ipoh.More

The popular chicken prawn hor fun’s quality has dropped, small bowl RM8, big bowl RM9. But the next stall beef noodle (in the same coffee shop) is nice. Wuyi tea egg is not common in other coffee shop, should try. Egg custard is so so,...similar to those selling in supermarket.More

This place is worth a visit. We arrived on a Monday at around 1030 am and managed to get a table immediately, though the place was getting crowded. Do try the custard caramel pudding made by the drink stall, as well as the pork and...chicken satay, which is full of flavour. They also sell satay intestines, if you are keen. At the front, there is a kai si hor fun store, though it was not the best we have had here. The yong tau fu stall was a better choice, especially the beef balls. Overall, a good place for a meal smack in the middle of old Ipoh, with Concubines and Murals streets just nearby.More

For the chicken hor fun (noodles) you usually get their attention (as it's rather crowded always). If you're sited far you can proceed to stall and order and let them know roughly where you are sitting. For the rest you just... More

From 8am to 3.15 pm. (the best time to patron the restaurant) After 3.15pm, the broth could be diluted sometimes due to overwhelming customers. (the broth is what it matters.)
