This place you would go for the food... and not the ambience! My family ate 3 dinners there within two weeks! That’s how yummy the dishes were!
Try to go for what the locals would order then the price would be more than reasonable. Our first dinner was on the pricey side because we just asked the friendly supervisor to serve us their signature dishes! We didn’t even look at the menu! Three dishes cost us more than $400 ringgit!
They are busy all the time so it would be better if you ring before you go to avoid waiting!

I made reservations a few days before , ordered the roast piglet which cost rm320 , friendly service and attentive, came here for Saturday birthday dinner , we had the turbot fish from Japan , no bones and slight like the stingray fish as it’s flat and cost around rm350 , the roast piglet was juicy , succulent meat , crispy skin which I love ❤️ ginger village chicken not much meat .. the choy sum stir fry with yam was crunchy and sweet . Smooth tofu with fish paste was tasty, so far so good .. will definitely be back here if ever at Ipoh town

Beautifully make over restaurant, but the moment I stepped in, it sounded like fish market, and like people barganing for the cheapest fish..
After seeing the exterior, it looks like an expensive restaurant. Price is on the higher side for Ipoh folks, but the taste compensate the price well. Food tastes good and nice, very good service by the friendly waitress. If u want a quiet evening dinner, this is not the right place.

This is a significant restaurant in this small town. We were seated in a private room. Service was excellent- they make it their job to know the preferred dishes of their regulars. We had some of their signature dishes: stewed pork trotters, Chinese Cabbage with dried prawns, etc. Their Tai Lok Mee was fabulous! Their Steamed live prawns and Sharks fin with crab meat soup was appreciated.

As we live in Ipoh we come to Pusing a couple of time a year. I felt the need to write an updated review since my last review as the quality seems to have deteriorated since our last visit. maybe this was just a one off instance where the cooking quality and portions were not as usually experienced. Still good value though and will still return...

Service was good and friendly. We called to asked if they do take away, lady who answered the called said yes. It was our first time and wanted to try the dishes. Hence, we asked for recommendations and they actually don’t encourage us to over order. Dishes were very well packed. The garnishing, smaller condiments were individually packed.

Mostly always full. Dunno abt lunchtime. Need reservn* and go early, eg, before 7 pm for dinner to avoid crowd n noise. Practically everything on d menu is good or vgood, but some items are expensive n sold by weight or mkt price, but this is relative to other similar restts in Malaya. It's still a lot cheaper than in S'pore. Must order their Signature bighead prawns.. you'll want at least 2 each. Give ginger sauce chicken a miss, unless you love ginger. Ate 21 Feb 2023.

Finally outstation again after easing of CMCO travels brings me back to Ipoh to this restaurant. The taste is still as good for prawns, fish, chicken and taufu.
Good place to return to.

The dishes are good, plentiful, normal since they are more expensive than elsewhere. Small disappointment, be careful because he kindly offers you a hot tea, you find it nice, serves you a small cup of peanuts and then you have a small disinfectant towel which you happily use and then when you pay the bill you realize that all these little attentions and well were not. Everything is clearly detailed on the note except the menus, which is very difficult to check after the fact. Otherwise taste-wise, nothing to complain about. Small negative point, the noise of the customers in the room, when we arrived, the room was full and in fact the noise was quite annoying, I had seen a review on Trip on this subject and indeed I was able to notice it. I still recommend it for the quality of the cuisine but don't touch the peanuts.

We arrived early 6 pm on a Friday n I can see ctowds st Ground gloor. As we do not have a booking, we were ask to ho upstairs n it is huge too. Itvfidntvtake long gor the food to arrived. Based on the reviews, I decide to order Yangchow fried rice since so many good. reviews on it. I am not disappointed, though not a fan of fried rice but I really love it n revommend this. They charge ice cold water 0.80 a glass but unlimited as they kerp refilling. The Asparagas prawns is good too.

Busy restaurant packed with locals and tourists!
If one knows what to order, it is easy to have a feast with family/friends or simply a moment of self-indulgence. On the evening we were there we saw large groups of locals enjoying arguably the best seafood in Ipoh, tourists dining on budget and even singletons having just one dish (fish or prawns) all by themselves. What a sight!
If one wants to have a good meal in a proper air-conditioned restaurant without the awkwardness of not fitting in, this is a must-go place in Ipoh.

We came with a group for lunch. First time eating in this restaurant. Place was not crowded and we had a yummy lunch in comfort inside the air-conditioned restaurant. Price was on the high side but no complaints as food was delicious. The first course presentation was amazing!

The restaurant was very crowded even on. weekday evening. Luckily we made reservation for a table days ahead. The place was noisy but we came for the food and was not disappointed. Dishes ordered were delicious and well served. The service was above average and the price was too. Overall a good experience.

Very popular place as food is good but also pricey.
We had RM 500 prawns with other dishes. The prawns were really good, although pricey. Also the place was packed with customers. We sat in Table 18. The neighbouring table was 13. 1318 came out as the luck number, with 1213 as the first price.
