Ipoh's first and only True Authentic AMERICAN Rock 'n' Roll Wood Fire Pizzeria. Every item here is made exactly how we would do it back in Chicago / New York. Everything is made fresh in the pizzeria, we believe in commitment and keep all our recipes exactly as they were the day we started. All pizzas are cooked at 750f degress in a real wood fire oven, hand tossed. We offer pizzas, pastas, salads and sweets. This is as close to America you can get without actually being there.We are a fmaily place where the music is played loud (retro 70's-90's rock and pop) and you can jump up on the counter and dance for a free pizza.

Fancied something non-Asian dinner and stumbled on this place. Had to wait to get in, but worth the wait. A local family waiting for takeout sang praises of this place as the go to pizzeria in Ipoh. From the friendly ang moh owner to the presentation and taste of the wood fire cooked pizzas, what's not to like? Strongly recommend. Non-halal.

Been coming here for about 10 years now and this place only seems to get better with age. They went from a one store shop lot to a double store a few years ago and now are back to their original one shop lot store. I can say this is even better. It has a nice energetic vibe to it, sort of like a cozy cafe/bar but without the alcohol. When I was there this week there was even an elderly man about 60 something moving to the retro rock music that was playing.
They have managed to create a unique feeling here in Ipoh, with the fun music, excellent and friendly young staff (I believe they hire college students) that are always helpful. The owner also goes to every table to checks up on every customer to see if everything just right. If they do get something wrong, they will definitely try to make up for it.
Now for the main part, the food. The pizzas are always getting better and better, large, a lot of flavors to choose from and always baked by fire with a slightly smokey taste. There are always new pizzas to select from and the new one called: The Mix is one of their best to date. One pizza is enough for 2-3 people to share.
They also have a nice selection of pastas to choose from, however I recommend the Peruvian Pasta. A really great pasta of their own using fresh jalapenos and mixed with olive oil and mayonnaise and other things they said. Not really spicy but so much flavor and a lot of chicken.
This is my all-time favorite place to bring my family and friends to.

We had some takeaway pizzas, best pizza we had in Malaysia! So good in fact we came back the next day for another round.. That may also have been inspired by the amazing brownie which we couldn't get enough of either..
Service was great and very accommodating, we even got smileys on the takeaway boxes! :)

We visited the talk about town best pizza in Ipoh but... really disappointed by the service crew mess up our order. We had ordered 2 pizza Bacon sausage & Miki Miki Hawaiian instead the order came as 1/2 of each pizza. First the pizza came in 15mins.. the rest of the orders 2nd pizza, Carbonara pasta, Brownies and Garlic knotted bread doesn't came at all. 2nd pics of Garlic knotted bread is burned. Told them to re-baked. When we questions the waiters ... oh we overlook. No apologies at all... Due to our urgency we cancelled the rest of orders and left the place disappointed. The management have to look into it attitude of staffs.

I will definetly look into this and this should not have had happened and I am very surprised it did. We are usually known for exceptional service and quality of our food as you yourself can see from many of our reviews here and else where on the net. This should not have ever happened period and you did not deserve this and can assure you this is not our norm by any means. If at all possible I would very much appreciate it if you can either message me directly on here or on message through our FB Page so I can find out more about what all happened. Even though you are from Singapore I would very much like to make this up to you at some point or in some way also I would really like to know all the details about what happened. I do not tolerate such behavior at the store and hope you will make contact with me. Again my deepest and most sincere apologies

From the moment I stepped inside, I was bombarded with blaring music that was not only excessively loud but also incredibly grating on the ears. Instead of creating a pleasant ambiance, the noise level made it impossible to enjoy any aspect of my meal, let alone hold a conversation with my dining companions. It felt like I had inadvertently walked into a chaotic nightclub, not a pizzeria where people come to enjoy a meal.

I am not sure what to say, firstly it says on our Signboard, menus and website we are an American Rock n Roll pizzeria. Secondly we are sure you must have heard the music before coming in yet you decided to go ahead and dine in here when you could have gone somewhere else or taken away. It was your choice to stay after noticing it. This is the same as going to a vegetarian restaurant and then later complaining it has no meat to offer. We have been like this for more than 14 years and most (about94%) of our customers are fine with it or like it very much. We even have customers dance for free Margarita pizzas on the counter. We have many reviews on Google and here were people love the ambience of our little pizzeria. Again, no one forced to to come in. As stated it is printed on our Signboard, our websites, our menu and you yourself said you heard the loud music from the minute you came in. It was clearly your own choice to stay and then yet you complain, perhaps next time if you do not agree with the way a place designs itself instead of staying opt for take away and allow those who do enjoy the party like Rock n roll atmosphere to enjoy it. Sorry but in this case you really only have yourself to blame since we already advertise how it is going to be in here. Oh one more note: Hard Rock Cafe is coming to Ipoh, we suggest you do not go there also especially on Weekend nights when they normally have live bands playing Rock music - it can get extremely loud.

Had a Hawaiian (Luau) pizza and Cesar salad with bacon. Both came quickly and were incredible. The Cesar has crisp romaine, fresh bread croutons and plenty of awesome bacon. The pizza is a thinner, perfectly balanced masterpiece. The cheese was stringy and tasty. The ham was thin and flavourful. The crust was thin and bubbly at the edges. The music was good and everyone hustled in the staff. I have had pizza in all the US and Italy and this place can hold its own. We live in KL now and will always make some tone to grab a pie here.

I been here few times and the pizza is excellent. You can't compare with our Malaysian pizza. The thing I to want to highlight is, there is no proper system for people who is dining here. We were party of 3 and we had to wait outside for 30mins before got a table. After ordering was told had to wait another 40 minutes. But our pizza arrived 1 hour later. Yet there was only about 10 tables. Because they were preparing for all take away orders and we had to just wait. I think they really need to plan and organise their system.

Thank you for the review Mathavi. I am going to comment on the wait. Wr actually do have a system in place however on thst particular day wr got extremely busy not only with one takeaway order of 10 pizzas but we also had another 12 take away orders from WhatsApp, phone in and walkins as well as the dine in who came roughly about the same time. It was a very unusual fluke thst day. We even had to turn orsers down. Our wood fired oven can only handle about 4 pizzas at a time however if one spills a bit in thw oven then we are reduced sown to 3 at a time. We dis not just make the 10 pizzas and everyone else had to wait. We would make a pizza per table and a takeway and go back and forth like that. Be that as it is, it still caused an unfortunate delay. In 13 years of having thai here we only had about 3 instances whrte something like this happened. Howrver waiting an hour for a ouzza even then was just too long and I do deeply apologize for that. Your ticket somehow had been moved under thw stack by accident. Though the wait was much linger thia one day, it was only about 30-40 minutes. If you are able to please do contact rhe store and ask for the owner. I would be very jappy to make this up to you.

What a fabulous experience. The food was excellent as was the service and music. Ipoh is famous for the food and Michaelangelo's is a fantastic addition adds to Ipoh's welldeserved reputation. Just go and enjoy.

Michael, the owner is so accommodating. He goes to each customer individually and assists them with ordering and makes suggestions.

I’ve tried many pizzas in KL and Penang. None compared to this! Best pizza ever! Lots of quality ingredients, good taste, big portion and reasonably priced! Definitely must try when in Ipoh! Friendly staff too!

The portion is very big. The best part is we can order 2 different flavours in one pizza. The stuffing and topping is superb. It is a must try at Ipoh.

Delicious American wood fired pizza with generous toppings. Pizza bread is nice and soft. The hog is recommended. Quick service. Friendly environment. Busy on the Saturday we went.

Heard a lot about this but wasn’t too impressed with the pizza. Was a bit bland. Also the waiters were running about without knowing much. Our spaghetti didn’t arrive at all though we were kinda ok given the pizza was average. Nice place though.

Thank you for taking the time for your review. Surprised about the servers as our servers are very well trained in all of our menu however we do have three new servers. Could be possible you had one that was very new. As for the pizzas. Everyone has their own opinion about pizzas which is what makes pizza so great. There is always a favorite pizzeria for each person. Sorry we could not be one for you personally.
