Nice place with tasty snacks. If you are looking for a place to quietly enjoy the modern atmosphere of Gurney Plaza or to take shelter from a heavy rain shower. Then you are in the right place here, literally and figuratively.
The satay is tasty, the beers are cold and if you don't feel like drinking alcohol, there are also excellent mocktails

I just want to share my experience with this bar. I didn’t have enough money because I forgot to include the service charge with my computation with my total order. The staff let me go but I can’t manage to do that so I decided to come back and return the change.
For food, I ordered this fried noodle that had some twist on it. 4 out of 5 for me, taste amazing! The nachos are decent. Just like other nachos you can eat but the serving is good for more than 2-3 people.
I went there by Thursday night so the crowd was not that much but they had a live singer inside the restaurant which had a great vibes towards the whole ambiance. The place looks so modern and aesthetically pleasing.

Nice place with option to dine alfresco or indoors. Service was quick too. We had two different types of pork burgers and an avocado salad. The avocado feta salad was really good. Came up to about RM170 for lunch.

Sounded like a good idea. Seriously disappointing. For a place that advertises themselves as a wine bar, they have just TWO wines by the glass. Ordered the Angus burger. Not available. Ordered the steak with no sauce and asked about mustard. They didn’t know what it was. After the waitress confirms they do have mustard, I order the steak with mustard and no sauce and confirmed the steak is with vegetables and fries. Steak arrives with sauce and mashed potatoes 🙄. Manager then makes a fleeting appearance with the fries, but no apology. Steak was tough and vegetables tossed in basically raw garlic. Neighboring table sitting right under Non Smoking sign vaping and staff choose to ignore it. Service was attentive but not trained.

The establishment is clean, welcoming with its decor and nice music.
But the waiter simply ruins our moment, he makes a mistake when taking the order and when we point it out to him, he has difficulty being polite or simply changing our plate.
Change personnel, instead of spending their time on their phone, they should be more professional and attentive to their customers
Too bad for the establishment, the management was nicer

Thank you for the special atmosphere and hospitality. The choice of food and drinks is excellent. We had dinner here several times and were very satisfied each time. The waiters are very helpful and always fulfill the wishes of the order. Separately, I want to mention our favorite Lenny & Aidan & Raiwon. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the girl who served us also. But I really want the management to notice such wonderful employees! We will definitely come back to Penang and visit Barn again ❤️❤️❤️

The restaurant is located in Gurney Plaza. You can sit inside or outside. The food is very western and the taste goes with it.
The price is also a bit too high. There are better restaurants out there, even with the best will in the world.

We visited this establishment for "brunch". we had the choice of a set menu or ala-carte. With the latter you also got access to soup and salad bar both of which were excellent value. The salad bar in particular was fresh and extensive and could have been a meal in itself. We opted for the bangers and mash which was served hot and delicious. The staff were attentive throughout our visit. Well Done

My wife & I visited her twice this month for a late lunch. Both times we ordered fish & chips and Salmon Trout. Both times were delicious and the service was great. We sat indoor at our favorite corner bench table. Music is nice & we really enjoy our time here the past few years. Both times we enjoyed a chilled bottle of white wine. We shall easily return should the opportunity present itself.

Good that The Barn is open and you can now enjoy both a drink and a meal provided you've been double-jabbed. We had a great evening the other day and enjoyed the food along with the chance to actually sit outside and enjoy a 'dine in' repast. Lenny, the young assistant, was helpful as was another young man whose name we missed. If you're in Penang, it's definitely worth a visit.

The food they provide is fresh!
The price of food is also affordable and reasonable.
There will be a worthy place for you having brunch and dinner there with your partner.
The environment is great, you can have a small meeting as well as gathering there.

This is a great and fun place to come to. Great for families and couples. They have a wonderful staff and great food. Located right at Gurney mall. I highly recommend this to locals and tourists alike!
