An old pastry shop in Georgetown. But with really good Pepper Biscuits and Peanut Biscuits. I tried them when I got back to the hotel and found them so good that I decided to go back again the next day and get some more to bring home. I went early so there were still egg tarts available and they were... More

We've been a regular here for the past 10 years and we would stop by this confectionery on purpose to purchase some goodies before leaving the island. Unfortunately for the past few years till this very day it had went downhill and it doesn't tastes as good as it was. Back then, pepper cookies were larger and thicker but now... More

Have been going to buy biscuits from this shop ever since I was young. There would be a friendly aunty to serve at the counter. My favourite would be during the mooncake festival when they sell those 'kong zai peng' (doll biscuits).

This is a popular biscuit shop for their egg tarts, coconut tarts and pepper biscuits. They have been in business for over a decade and most customers order boxes to take away so they do run out early. Consistency is an issue as the biscuits are hand made but they have been able to retain the great taste. Price has... More

After breakfast, we went to Ng Kee at Lebuh Cintra. At 9.30 a.m. all coconut tarts were sold out. Neither did I see any egg tarts. Egg tarts here are very popular but my fave are from Golden Gate Bakery in San Francisco. Best best best pepper biscuits. Very thin and crispy. Boxes are right angled now so it is... More

While walking around George Town we stumbled be upon this bakeshop. The owner offered me some pepper biscuits to taste, it was good so I bought just a box. We also got some triangle shaped cakes, some other pastries which we didn't get the name. When we got home, we ate the pastries and shared the pepper biscuits, they were... More

Mention egg tarts and many Penangites will point you to Ng Kee on Cintra St in the old heart of George Town, it is famous for its egg tarts, puffs and pastries. I have always tried to go there at least once every trip back, but the latest trip has made me think twice about future trips. I normally go... More

As we strolled around China town in Penang, we came across this shop due to display of wide variety of local delicacies, which includes our favourite egg tarts, coconut tarts, pepper biscuits, etc. Most of their specialty delicacies are handmade and fresh. If you are touring around this area, you may want to consider sampling some egg/coconut tarts for immediate... More
