i had dinner here last night with a friend. I found the atmosphere to be very calm and soothing. I was on the verge of being hangry, and the food was delivered quickly. I had a pasta dish and my friend had oxtail soup. We...both found the food to be excellent, with generous portions. I finished with a slice of cheesecake that was to die for! The decor is simple and homey. Service is quick and friendly. The two servers who were there were constantly going back and forth between the kitchen and the clients. They were knowledgeable, and helped us make choices. The owner constantly circulated to ensure that everything was going smoothly. I will certainly return when I am again in Penang.More

Each time when we are back on the island during Christmas holidays it is a must for us to dine in Vintage Bulgaria. We love dining here as we find the decor warm quiet and cozy. We start off with the Shopska Salad which has...a generous portion of greens bell peppers juicy tomatos and the creamy Feta cheese with vinegar dressing. Then we shared the Roast Crown Pork which is huge rack of ribs with mashed potatos salad on the side and cooked veggies. It is indeed a huge portion of meat and we have to bag a couple of ribs home after we have our fill for the evening.More

Enjoyed the spread of meats, salad and pastry as in the pictures. The food selection is diverse and the meats were well done. The steak and pork knuckle was especially good. Also the oxtail soup was nice and tender. Above all, I enjoyed the warm...service from the staff and they were quite accommodating with requests and the kids loved the milk shakes.More

Visited this place last month, after my last visit 7 years ago. The quality of food and service still excellent. Pork rib is a signature and must try - need to call in to reserve during peak time as they have limited sets prepare daily....Also serve unique Bulgarian wine - also pls call in to reserve if you want to try this. Ambiance and restaurant setup is cozy and very relaxing. Staffs are friendly.More

The proprietor of establishment certainly does not know. Owner himself brings my salad. Wow, personalized customer care, right? I request extra dressing. Key word "extra" Response: "it's already there". "Yes but I like extra" is meet with a scowl and walks away without acknowledging he...will bring. My friends Pork Knuckle was dry so we tell waiter he offers credit. Owner stomps over looks at me and tells what's the waiter? We explain. He won't accept feedback. "Cooked fresh today!" "Ok sir, but dried out. Response "nothing wrong, no credit" stomps off against. Even waiter is embarrased. So sad, other items were good. Avoid unless you enjoy disrespect.More

The place was great and food was delicious. My friend and I ordered the Orley Wraps which was juicy and delicious as a starter. We had Chicken & Mushroom Pizza which was thin and just enough tomato sauce and toppings baked to perfection. Very nice....We also had a sirloin steak done medium well with black pepper sauce. Although I requested for medium well, it came out like medium raw but overall, the steak was tender and good. Ambience was great and would visit again in future.More

Sometimes some good ol' Western food hits the spot when traveling in Asia. The food here was just the ticket. It was excellent. A nice complement to the meal was the waiter, Andrew, who was an excellent server - knowledgeable, courteous and outgoing. Of note...were the mushroom soup, seafood chowder and ribs. All very tasty. I would highly recommend the Vintage Bulgaria restaurant.More
