The menu is a bit limited (especially for vegetarians) but you can't go wrong with the daily specials.

A friend and I decided to try out this place as it was supposed to be a good place to pair food with wine. When we arrived, we walked into a nearly empty restaurant, with a couple seated at a table eating, and nobody else in sight. After we were seated and ordered the food and wine, the waiter verbally... My wife & I visited TLWB on a Monday evening after reading positive reviews, and were not disappointed. The food dishes (French Onion Soup, Seared Scallops & Lamb Neck Steak) were all fabulous, the house wine and cocktails delightful and the service efficient and friendly. The experience was so enjoyable, we returned the following evening. Thoroughly recommended if you wish... More

Juicy, cooked to perfection, just wow. About 60 ringit. I thoroughly enjoyed it after a long day. I have eaten here a total of 3x. I enjoyed all 3 main courses that I tried; pork neck steak, smoked duck breast, and steak. I really liked the steak the best.

Duck breast with cherry sauce and pork neck steak were excellent. But the tomato soup taste like not homemade, please correct me if incorrect. Service was so so...not even serve plain water and the bread was cold. The staff keep talking among themselves and very annoying.

Delightful little bistro well work seeking out. High quality European cuisine at very reasonable prices with a concise but considered wine list to match. Charming and well informed service make this an essential go to place in George Town, whether for a full dinner in the elegant but informal dining room inside or just a glass or for something chilled... Thank you so much for your lovely review !!! I will let my staff know. You put a smile on my face. Nowadays we have to fight against a lot of reviews of non existing "customers" so it is really nice to have a review like yours. Enjoy 2016 ! With a glass of wine of course ... :) More

Hungry for a steak we headed for TLW. We received a very friendly welcome and great service throughout. Bread & olive oil/balsamic of while we waited, extraordinarily good starters, special ravioli and Sears sesame tuna. And then the steaks: Brazilian origin, perfectly prepared, matched with sautéed mushrooms and Penang's best spinach, and a well balanced purée. Prepared spot on. From... More

Visiting TLWB has been something of a ritual for me whenever I come to Pinang. But the last couple of visits have been uninspiring. Service was OK from the local guys but the owners and manager never around. Food was OK. No bread on the table any more, but not great. Why add a dilute tomato sauce to a white... More

Hello ! Thank you for your feedback to us. You are right. We didn't have new specials on since beginning of December and we are sorry that the tomato sauce for the John Dory was obviously not seasoned enough. That was a mistake in the kitchen and we apologise. We are currently working on new specials and are hopefully having... More

I get kind of tired of the Asian fare in Malaysia. It's at times boring, repetitive and crowded. I loved this place. We had scallops with lobster and truffle, charcuterie, carpaccio, frois gras...brilliant red wine...just so memorable. Enjoy your hawker stands and local thing but hey, don't miss this, it is really very enjoyable and great value. It's a guaranteed... More

Friends of mine invited me to join the wine testing evening on Tuesday - as they do every week. I was the first of our group to arrive and had a nice chat with the owner and some other people. The selected wine was just awesome. On red wine I often get stomach problems and refux but not on these chosen... More
