Very good impression, cute small pinky shop in a way simple. Pastries and particularly the beignets as well the madeleines were yummy and not that fatty or too sweet as I was a bit afraid (personal taste). Prices are reasonable, not cheap but definitely cheaper than in France for sure... Only small down point was the service which seems confused and not organised, 3 employees at the time we went there and not super pro active as maybe it should be... Maybe thinking about more training or the owner to consider about it? I’m an hotelier so it might come from my professional background but in any case it was a big negative impact on us. Seems also they do not accept credit cards at the time we visited. Based on these facts, I recommend it.

The decor was so cosy and tastefully done. Seating upstairs were in plain white with sunlight streaming in from the skylight. Ordered the pain au chocolat croissant and canele. The buttery fragrance from the croissant and the fluffiness interior of the canele… simply blown away. Highly recommended

We came to this cafe by accident where we looked for a coffee to go. When we entered this cafe we were surprised by how the cafe was set up. Everything just look perfect and nice they way they set up the display with the croissants and cakes. Then we came back the next day to sit and tried their almond croissant (very recommended) and strawberry cheesecake. Just perfect to chill and relax with coffee and delicious patisserie.

The croissants and bakeries look delicious and professionally made - the croissants were perfectly shaped and my interest was piqued. I ordered a chocolate croissant and while it look perfect, it was a bit hard and there isn't enough chocolate fillings which made it disappointing. Coffee was good, would have ordered more pastries if the prices were more affordable. If you are looking for instagram worthy pics, you'll be disappointed - not much effort put in to make this an instagram worthy cafe.

Went to have breakfast, but most items are sweet choice. Only one that's savoury - ham and cheese croissant was good. We ordered 5 beignets to go and was disappointed it was packed in a brown paper bag instead of the nice boxes they had. When asked why didn't put in the box, the staff said - it cost RM2 extra! Interesting that our total bill was over RM100 and they want to charge us for a fee for the box.... OVER-RATED and won't go there again.

After lunch, dropped by LVeR to enjoy coffee and cakes. All three of us had cafe latte. Coffee was OK. The standout was the pastries or patisserie. Ambience was so so only. White-washed walls, simple tables and chairs.

10/10. The best crossaint I've ever had. Very good coffee also. The venue is nicely decorated and staff are friendly. Visited twice on my trip to Penang and would highly recommend!

Sumptuous cakes especially the lemon tart. Fantastic croissants too - loved the almond one. The dirty chai latte was great and so was my cappuccino. We will be back!

Came here after seeing some beautiful pictures on their Instagram account. There is hardly any decent French pastry shops in Penang, so I thought I would give this a go. Tried their vanilla beignet, chocolate covered madeleine, tarte au citron and pain au chocolat. Was thoroughly disappointed by all of them. Sure, the pastries looked like something you see in upmarket French patisserie windows. Very impressive. Flawless. One would think they would taste as good as they look, until one takes a bite. That's when massive disappointment sets in. I was searching for the flavour bite after bite. It was just not there. Where was the French butter fragrance? Where was the cocoa aroma? Where was the vanillla, the lemon??! Why did all of them taste so flat and bland? Some even tasted stale, e.g. the madeleines, beignets. The only good thing I can say was the flakiness of the pain au chocolat, after being reheated. That's just the texture. It still did not have the buttery fragrance a good pastry should have. If you are looking for beautiful, Instagram worthy pastries regardless of how awful they taste like, this is the place for you. If you are looking for pastries that actually taste good, look further. Even the fourleaves bakery at GAMA supermarket has much better, fresh, daily-made doughnuts (or 'sugar ring' as they call it) at a fraction of the price here. In my opinion, the quality of the pastries here do not justify their obscene, 5-star-hotel-level price tags.
