An cosy alley cafe with nice frappes and fruit juices with a twist. The menu are Malayan and short but very delicious. Sitting outside are “hyggeligt” as we say in Denmark.

Ahhhh love the street foods of Georgetown BUT when you need that break….a nice cool break; a one stop selection of local Malay, Chinese, Nyonya, Western menu offering local favourites or that much needed salad after days of holiday indulgence. The Mews Cafe is my...go to….. a coffee or in between meals pit stop, breakfast, lunch or that casual dinner after a day of exploring Georgetown!More
Three years since my last visit and they are still serving great Malay food from a limited choice. Good service. Nice location on a quiet street. Beef Rendang is recommended.
Delicious food in a lovely alfresco space. We ordered 2 ‘small’ plates (prawn fritter and fried roti) and a salad to start and then Nonya Laksa for a main. The small plates are anything but small and very delicious. The fritters were crunchy and light,...the stuffed roti’s filling of chicken was moist and delicious. The salad was excellent with a lovely dressing. They kindly split the laksa into 2 bowls for us as we were sharing and even though we didn’t need to eat anymore we really enjoyed it! The right amount of spicy soup and delicious fish balls and vegetables. The staff were very friendly.More
Our first night in George Town and we fancied something a little different to the countless night markets we'd eaten at for the previous 10 days. The outside seating faces onto a busy-ish road but it's nice to people watch. The service was good and...the food was really good for the money. Highly recommended.More
Lovely atmosphere in a traditional Georgetown shophouse street. Delicious food and wonderful service from the boys. Recommended.
We had a fantastic meal at Mews cafe. The chicken salad was fresh and crunchy and the laksa really good. Staff were really friendly and the classic margarita’s amazing! The ambiance was lovely and we sat in a small court yard with plants surrounding us....I would defy recommend.More
Myself and my husband have travelled throughout Asia, and the dishes here are probably some of the best we have ever tasted. Have eaten here twice already! Chicken salad, local curries, satay and fish cakes all incredible. A lovely, chilled atmosphere and beautiful local artwork...on display. A MUST if you are in Georgetown.More
Simple interior but fantastic flavours. We had the laksa and something we forgot the name of (see picture). Both were amazing and their spicy level were just ok.
Although right on the street this restaurant is easy to overlook as it slides into an alley. In fact this has been a past favourite of mine and great to know it is still as good. The food here is delicious. The staff are friendly...and polite. Not pretentious but will surely be back again.More
Came to Penang for a holiday and our first stop was lunch at Mews Cafe. We had an enjoyable and pleasant experience - the wait staff were helpful and accomodating to help our large family group have the best experience. The Sri Lankan meal set...was pre-ordered and each meal fed 2 persons but there was more than enough to share with 3. Food was tasty and presented very well. The restaurant is housed in an old style shoplot but tastefully restored and the calm atmosphere and greenery outside added to the charm of eating int his place.More
It's was my first time having dinner with friend at Mews. The cucur udang and spaghetti masak aglio e olio is so delicious. The caramelised banana fritters paired with ice cream is yummy too..Most of the staff there are polite and friendly especially Mr AJ..Surely will be...back again!More

Being new in Penang we were looking forward to look for new places to eat. With dine in allowed, we want tonight to experience it. We were the only table tonight. Had a bottle of wine and the local fusion food tasted good. We like...the atmosphere with nice outdoor sitting. Service was attentive too. Plenty of road side parking .. should be a good place for brunch too. Must tryMore
