First of all, ensure you make reservations - the place will be packed! Also be mindful of other guests who have made reservations for the next time slot, so sitting here for hours will not do :). Highly recommended: ju hu char, kari kapitan (the gravy is oh so fragrant and good - I think this is their best dish!),... More

Ivy's was, I think, the first place to open on this quiet sidestreet that has, in the last few years, developed into quite a little strip of upmarket eateries. It was recommended to me by a friend who lives nearby on my last visit a few years ago (and my friend's a chef - doesn't eat anywhere, much less recommend... More

A good friend of mine drove me to this traditional Nyonya restaurant and boy, they did not disappoint! The food was as far as I was concerned as genuine as it gets for a Nyonya cuisine and so immensely scrumptious! The 'fried prawn' was so crunchy - melts like butter and the chicken curry was something else!!! Too yummy!! Oh... More

This was our third time here and we've made it a point to have a meal here whenever we come to Penang. The food is just amazing and oh so appetizing. The owner is friendly and will not make you spend a bomb. He always recommends that we take a set menu for 4 pax and add on other dishes... More

The restaurant is in an old row of shophouses tucked away in a street off Burmah Road. It is better to book ahead as the restaurant does not have many tables. The food is home cooked and authentic. It serves all the popular Peranakan dishes. The set meals are good value and allows people to sample of their most popular... More

Nonya cuisine is the unique flavour created from a mix of Chinese and Malay foods through past intermarriage between... More

The tv crew were filming at the restaurant but the owner gave us a table on the terrace and explained the menu. We had a wonderful meal and the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful.
