His passion is back "Talented chef Danny"...quality food pair with own pick wine make up to....excellent wine n dine session with friends. Beside food quality, this is also a well deco place for those who like to take pic. If you are lucky, chef Danny's will drop by your table to exchange info about food.

The portions are perhaps a little small, and the menu is certainly not extensive....BUT the quality of the ingredients, cooking, presentation and service was really excellent. All the food we ordered was tasty and interesting. The best fine dining we experienced in Penang

This place is unique - 2 outlets in one premise: Coffee Lane and The Eighty Eight Restaurant. Apparently the bosses are good friends. I had been here for coffee but not for dinner. Decided to bring my wife for a good dinner for her birthday. We started off with a Jamon ham on toast, followed by Tomato Soup with Basil... More

Restaurant manager did explicit explanation of the menus, and great recommendation on wine pairing to our meal. Started off with soup dish, fresh vongole and white wine do brings out the best flavor from those shell. While both arugula salad and cabonara pasta was just decent. For the mains, air-flown scallops from Japan was superb and well seared to ensure... More

Dine with my wife for her birthday, one of the best dining experience ever had in penang. Really good service, the staffs are well alert of whats happening within the restaurant guest; good wine list (even did not order any) but room for more boutique selections of wines; Food quality is high (also the china wares and glasses), the duck... I had dinner there tonight with friends and I was very pleasantly surprised. All four of us tasted the dish we had and immediately shared our appreciation with the others. My chicken dish had flavours that compliments each other perfectly. The lava desert was delicious and the coffee after the meal was superb. I liked the ambiance and will definitely... More

Attended a birthday party, table of 12. Very lovely set up, contemporary design. Cosy yet classy. All guests ordered various dishes, very good mix of menu. Good honest food though I won't go back for the food. Great service though. The staff were very helpful and obliging.

My first time in the restaurant was last Saturday night. My expectations were not high, I was going for the company. I was amazed, best dinner served to me in Penang. I have been living here for the last 5 years plus and was blown away. Ambiance was very good, food excellent. I asked the Maitre D' to give me... More
