Incredible food!!!
I sought this place out specifically after seeing on social media, and so glad I did! A little breakfast haven.
We had a couple of stunning coffees and juice mocktails alongside our breakfasts, then ordered takeaway cakes which were thoroughly enjoyed later! I absolutely recommend the lemon poppyseed loaf, 10/10 from me.
A gorgeous place to spend a morning having a coffee or something to eat, with lovely lovely staff.

Pretty good options and very tasty food. A number of good vegetarian options we had the Vegetarian Egg Burrito, Eggs Florentine and the French Toast which was probably the highlight. The custard sauce was so delicious. Burrito could have had a sauce as it lacked flavour, so we used the hollandaise sauce from the eggs florentine. Coffee was very good and also provided free filtered water and wifi. Would recommend and visit again to try the pastries.

Lovely staff. Lovely atmosphere. Lovely food. We are breakfast there 3 times during our stay. The food was always fresh and clean and the cafe was always a busy little location, with many local ‘Penang-it’s’ stopping for coffee, picking up their sourdough and freshly baked cakes. A really nice vibe with a clean bathroom to boot

I ordered French Toast. I got two slice of the toast, along with baked banana slices, peach pieces, apple slices, slivered almonds, beside a pool of vanilla sauce with pomegranete seeds. It wasn't bad, but it was way over the top. I would have been happier with French toast, butter and honey or syrup. My companion's baked egg florentine was less satisfactory. She got a cast-iron dish full of cheese sauce, drowning shreds of spinach, and one egg -- toast on the side. Not at all what she expected -- "wouldn't order it again", she declared. My cappucino was excellent.

We ordered mango and avocado salad, vegetarian pesto pasta and babycino.
Originally the salad sauce is mayonnaise but we eliminated that. The mango was too ripe. The avocado was served as sauce. Average. The pasta serving was small. It came with 4 pieces of vegetarian meat which was dry and tasted like deep fried tapioca. The babycino tasted like skim milk. No hints of coffee at all. Except for the pleasant venue, the food was too expensive and mediocre.

You need to keep up standard of customer service even though your business is good. Don’t know if your staff is underpaid & overworked. Not very nice in morning & looks unhappy . Asking to split the meal orders to two as sharing & they tell your customer you won’t do extra when busy .

Came here for brunch, plenty of staff working yet service was very poor. For such food charges yet have to self service on utensil. Other table closer to the counter was served food with utensil were given by the waiter yet food came to oyr table without utensil, called the waiter yet was hiding behind counter until have to walk up and pick the utensil. Not sure all the staff hide behind counter for what reason as its not a big cafe...poorly manage employee yet set beside Asscot hotel. All the staff came out in groups to clear up table yet cant attend to customer needs when requird. Food was standard like any other cafe.

Really good coffee and especially love the fresh smoothies.
The food is delicious and fresh.
HOWEVER, we came here twice and we waited 40 and 55+ minutes for the food to come after ordering. It was busy but didn’t appear overwhelmed, we walked right in and there were still tables free.
We are all about being relaxed but its a bit much. Thankfully we had nowhere to be!
Id recommend only if you have time to kill. Also if you’re patient and have things to do - we used the Wi-Fi to research places to visit, but still not great.

In Penang for nearly 6 months, Yin's is my morning treat; incredible breads, bagels and baked goods, fresh juices and coffee roasted on premises. A small but delicious menu of breakfasts & lunch specialties including Penang's best pizza! A friendly staff and the feel of a family run bakery & restaurant. Highly recommend

It is one of the rarely restaurant in Penang to prepare the food from scrap material. It promote healthy food without sacrifice favours. We ordered the vegetarian pizza and really served with plenty of mushroom and of course the best is the sour dough.

A Place to visit for Breakfast... Do not miss it, plenty to offer at a very reasonable price and taste is very good...
Yin is such a lovely adorable lady with the kind Father In Law helping out to run the business besides a young charming and thin lady which I think must be the Manager perhaps. All of them carries a 5 Star badge of Service, as per se.
Many Foreigners there for brekkie be it from Australia, UK, Germany, Russia or even Japan just to name a few...
Please do Visit them when you are in Penang or at least once in your lifetime.. Haha

I was attracted to the aromatic smell of breadS when I first stepped in the cafe. Reminds me of in Europe. We tried the mix breakfast set and quiche. All were delicious and up to our taste buds. Beautiful brew coffee too... Nice ambience! Will be our regular place in future

Lovely place to enjoy a good hearty breakfast. As soon as you walked in it was busy and the atmosphere inside was welcoming. Good variety menu from breakfast/brunch/lunch or dinner options as well as drinks. They even bring a jug of water over to the table too. You can tell they take care with the food as the food was well presented. Definitely recommend a visit.

Lovely food, fresh ingredients, beautiful fresh sour dough bread and lovely salads. Gave our tummies a welcome break from the mish mash of street food. Great service and food made with authenticity. Well done
