There is food available at this place, but since I was just in the mood for a drink I was sent upstairs, where there was live music, a young Eurasian looking lady playing the guitar. Otherwise all the staff I met in here was ethnic Indian, but there was no waiter or barman permanently upstairs, that's why one was given a box with a button to press for service, but it didn't work. All cocktails were 18 MYR. Many were sweet nonsense drinks or rather bizarre mixtures like Whisky, Tequila, Gin and Vodka mixed together. I went for a Mojito, which was served in a common water glass, with a plastic straw and a small paper umbrella for decoration, but almost no ice cubes. Quite okay though. Before ordering I had asked the barman, what Rum they were using, but since he didn't know I told him to show me the bottle. It was Bacardi (I mainly asked, because I had been recently served a Mojito with dark rum, which I don't like). No nibblies came with it. All evening I was alone upstairs, except for a Spanish speaking young couple, eating a dessert. One could feel sorry for the young lady playing the guitar in an almost empty room. The place is decorated in a funny original way, with old photos, old record covers on the wall. There is a blackboard with menus scribbled on it. At the back of the upstairs area one could see a gym with all kind of exercise machines.

I was quite impressed by such a combination of Western and Asian cuisine. The burger that we ordered is really delicious as the meat was juicy and crispy! I really like it. Would recommend everyone to visit and try the food there, because it's definitely worth it! Besides, the staffs were nice and the food was served quickly!

Relaxing atmosphere, gentle music, fresh drinks what else could I’ve wished for? For 5 stars, I would’ve liked to see that X factor, or a clearer identify of Kim Haus. All in all, worth the stop.

Called in for breakfast/brunch. Should have ordered the eggs as the “full English” Haus Breakfast was very ordinary. On the plus side, there was free wifi and the toilets were clean.

The salmon spaghetti is absolutely amazing with decent portion, love the ambiance of the cafe and it’s probably the only pet-friendly cafes you could hang out with your furry babies, the price is also reasonable PLUS a further 20% discount on food & beverages if we share and like the Facebook page!

After heaps of recommendations by friends, it was a great disappointment today. No cakes, nothing available, no sweets, no fresh food, no hospitality. Customer service poor.

As with most eateries in George Town, Kim Haus was a goldsmith shop in the past. I Iove how developers transform old establishments into new ones, whilst retaining their original structures. It does show how much history and heritage mean to them. Tempting cakes fill the display counter as you walk in. The menu consists primarily of Western dishes with a few Asian ones. I would have opt for the Pesto Pasta, but I reckon I could have it anyway, so I chose the Traditional Chicken Masala, creatively presented in a colourful tiffin carrier. When you take each tier out, you are greeted with soft fluffy steamed rice, chunky chicken bits in a strong spicy gravy, and crackers. If it was not for the glass of cold water and rice, I would not have been able to swallow the chicken bits, as it was a little too spicy, in my opinion; for me. All is well at the end when the Vanilla Ice-cream cooled me down. Service was passable as the team members were appropriately pleasant.

At i have stayed over 5 years 8 times. I have returned because of the ambiance and service provided in a great part of Georgetown. We figured since it was our wedding anniversary and we had been treated by management so well in the past, that they would offer a treat or upgrade to our room. But it was not so. They said we could cancel and pay an additional 50 ringit to upgrade. The last 2 times i was greeted poorly by the front desk personnel. Mr Sara, be aware if you were expecting customer service, he is not the one you want to encounter. When i arrived on Dec 8th i thought it was just a 1 time thing. But when we arrived Dec 18th. We were treated just as poorly by the same front desk clerk. 1st he couldn't find our reservation. Having us jump through hoops, after waiting 10 min and providing our confirmation, we were given a room. 1 good thing is after paying a 10 ringit tourist service fee, they offer you a drink. But when we didn't use our coupons last time because they closed early and the following day didnt open until 9am. We weren't able to use them. He also told us upon arrival the 18th. They were expired and that the new ones provided were only good for coffee or juice, and if we stayed an extra night we could get a cocktail. As of now it seemed like a perk gone bad. The rooms were also not as clean and nice as during our previous stay. When i asked to speak to someone in charge. He was quick to tell me the manager was off and he was in charge. As of now , i will take my business elsewhere as my wife wanted to in the 1st place. We have always liked the ambiance and location but we will sacrifice that for good service.

very nice and modern hotel, for the price absolutly recommendable. friendly staff, free drinking water in a refillable glass bottle anytime, nice spots for chilling with cozy furniture. good located nearby shopping mall and love lane f. ex. in the center of Georgetown. breakfast is ok, for a coffee before going out enough, no buffet just a croissant or saussage with scrambled egg. would comw again even, price is super ok for what you get.

Albeit a bit limited in choices. However they did make me an acceptable capachino and they do have some great breads. Oh, and they're convenient if you're staying at Kim Haus.
