A really unique bar, hidden away in GeorgeTown. When we visited there was live music and local people dancing. A great way to experience the real GeorgeTown away from sight-seeing and the typical nights out on Love Lane. The owner is super friendly and was...really helpful in giving us recommendations for GeorgeTown. Definitely give this bar a visit if you’re staying in GeorgeTown!!!! They do salsa nights on Saturdays too and a local Tea Dance on Sunday afternoon #bestbarMore

What a fantastic place, the owner Kelvin is such a positive, genuine and welcoming person (not to mention phenomenal cook! 🤤 ) it’s a little hard to find, the entrance is further east along Lorong Toh Ata than the pin on google maps suggests, but...it’s well worth it. Great atmosphere, if you like stand up comedy and live music they have that too! If Kelvin is making lamb rendang, don’t miss it! P.s. if you visit soon you might see their KITTEN! 😻More

📍 Hungry Ranch at D'Loovi's (Non-Halal) 🎵Just the vibes of D’loovi’s itself is more than enough to attract music-lovers, gourmet food hunters and those needing a place to chill. Adapting to the new norm, D’loovi’s has now ventured into an amazing new partnership with ‘Hungry...Ranch’, and boy, I’ll tell you that the food is amazing. This cafe-styled menu is clearly based on Chef Gobi’s pride and specialties; a Western-Asian fusion cuisine that’s handpicked at its finest. Hungry Ranch, founded by Chef G and DJ Stephanie Cass (I’m not kidding, she’s a real DJ 🎧), blends in perfectly well with the ambience and feels at D’Loovi’s. 🍄 For starters, the Magic Mushroom soup was heavenly; just at the right creaminess, with crisp from breadcrumbs, and perfectly seasoned. It was delicious. 🍗I loved the Diablo Chicken Wings. Crispy on the outside, juicy in the inside, flavoured with their secret sauces, it was, in cliche terms, finger-licking good. 🍝Don’t miss out their pastas! The Aglia Olio was cooked ‘Al-dente’, and it clearly is a favourite among vegetarians. There were generous portions of mushrooms. Make sure to ask for EXTRA SPICY if you’re a chilli lover🤤 🥙🥗 The Pesto Pasta, Creamy Salmon Risotto and Grilled Lamb Shoulders were great. That’s about all the dishes I’ve tried, and everyone of them have been more than satisfactory. With Chef G’s years of experience as a chef in various cafes, it’s no wonder the cuisine lives up to its name. It’s a lovely partnership, with lovely people, amazing food, great music, and happy vibes. That’s Hungry Ranch @ D’Loovi’s.More

Friday nite dinner with friends was most enjoyable indeed & was my 1st time at this location. We had 3 delicious orders of the house speciality Lamb Rendang which I have to say is the best I've ever had. Fish & Chips was very tasty...as well. All prepared by Master Chef Kelvin. Lots of cold beers & great music on the big screen by D'Loovis veteran Raggy. We spent a great deal of time on the balcony enjoying the typically fantastic Penang weather. Lovely view of Komtar despite the red light shining on as a reminder of our Covid situation. We'll definitely return should the opportunity present itself.More

We were recommended D'Loovi's when having breakfast at Coffee Cave (which I would also highly recommend!). We weren't entirely sure what to expect, but ended up having such a great experience! The food that we tried was really tasty, and the drinks were great too....But what really made the experience so special was the people we met. From just one visit it was clear that a real community has formed here. We received a warm welcome from the owner, a really personable guy with a lot of great stories to tell. Pretty much every person who entered came to say hello to him, and most seemed to know each other too. However there was no sense of awkwardness for newcomers - we were also greeted and introduced. The owner has a real passion for live music - obviously there are restrictions now due to Covid19, but you can meet and talk to some wonderful professional and semi-professional musicians at D'Loovi's.More

D'Loovi's in Georgetown, Penang This is a place that epitomizes authenticity - be it the food with its palatable home-made fusion recipes, or the live music at its finest, or simply the amazing company and homely vibes exuding from the people here, it makes for...an amazing experience. To me, what makes this place stand out is the close-knit community that has been formed here. While I was taking photographs of D'Loovi's, a young gentleman walked in, and multiple times was he greeted cheerfully with the same question - 'How was Langkawi?!'. Everyone in D'Loovi's knew him; everyone pretty much knew each other. They laughed like old buddies, shared their stories; it was a very pleasant vibe. In time, others coming in D'Loovi's joined the throng. Musicians, office workers, and people of various occupations made this a welcoming community. The owner of this place, by the name of Kelvin D'Loovi, makes for a most friendly and genuine person. I enjoy music thoroughly, and I love how the violin is prominently displayed here (I am a violinist myself). The music sensation is strong, where musicians often gather here for live performances. Reading the reviews online, live music is often mentioned to be amazing here. I sadly have yet to experience the music scene here, as the Movement Control Order due to COVID-19 has had the wings of fellow musicians clipped. That will have to be an experience for another time. For dinner, I was recommended the home-cooked mutton rendang - and boy, it was impeccably prepared. Simply superb. Kelvin himself ensures that the dishes served are up to standard. When I requested for no Cole-slaw, he whipped up stir-fried vegetables with bitter gourd, and that, surprisingly, perfectly complemented the mutton rendang. As I previously mentioned, this place serves home-made fusion recipes at its finest. I don't at all drink alcohol, but the non-alcoholic beverages were splendid. Fresh juices and mocktails are readily available. They're constantly coming with new ideas for their menu, and I was recommended the vanilla milkshake. A little bit on the sweet side, but still, kudos to the innovation the team here has. D'Loovi's is beautifully designed. It boasts a majestic exterior of what looks to be grand pillars, with an entrance seemingly hidden to the eye. Enter the door and you behold an epiphany of colours, music instruments, and trinkets placed in an orderliness that complements the vibes of this place. I have a strong aversion towards cigarette smoke (being a doctor, oh well), and I love how the interior of D'Loovi's is a non-smoking area. Should one wish to smoke (which of course, I would discourage), there is an allocated balcony outside which comprises of an artfully designed garden. If you are into great live music, or into finding communities as such, this is the place to be at. Authentic music, authentic food, authentic people - that's D'Loovi's.More

It’s always a pleasure to visit D’Loovis, even more so in the new, more spacious location. This is where you can make friends easily, listen to awesome live music by talented local artists, kick back with some affordable beers or have the best Mojito in...town. I hear the food is delicious as well (my friends tried) and the bar owners give it a friendly-family vibe. Truly a one-of-a-kind place that should be on every traveler’s and local’s must-visit-list!More
