Pulsing and loud local food experience. Cheap as chips. Filling and flavoursome. Eastern oriented beverages available on request.

This was our second visit and it has not changed, chaotic in a good way with friendly service, great food served on metal platters, good for both veg and non veg dining, Dal, chicken curry, Prawns, tikka masala all very good. Order the masala tea...it’s rich and has a nice kick of ginger, The place was super busy as usual so don’t be surprised if you have to wait for a table, Highly RecommendedMore
No sense of queuing for food and workers ignorant to customers who queue ahead. Gave conflicting directions where to w a urine g f or good.
Ordered chicken biriyani for myself. I don’t like the flavour of the chicken. It was quite salty and dry. They served boiled egg with gravy and it tastes so sweet. Price is not worth for the food. Not satisfied at all!
The place is very big it could serve for big groups. Their customer service is very fast but it's also very expensive. However, their food is really nice. The one I ordered was veg banana leaf rice and added chicken varuval, the drinks were mango lassi.... It came up to almost Rm30+-.More
i cant even put it in my mouth so salty. i only paid for the drinks and walked out for the restaurant. Save your money for something else. SOP also not followed!
I visited the anandha bhawan restaurant in little india ( since I am from kl) on 23/12/20 at 7 pm for dinner with my family in penang. I was astonished to see the condition of the restaurant. No SOP was followed and 90% of the...staff were wearing mask inaccurately which means they wore their mask on the chin not covering their mouth neither their nostrils. And one of the waiter who was taking my order, was not even wearing a mask on his chin. He had no mask at all. I asked him to wear his mask and come back to take my order. He bluntly totally refuse to and refuse to budge. I refused to let him take my order. Through out my duration at the restaurant that particular waiter never used his mask. Can the owner of Anandha bhawan restaurant monitor their restaurant and their staff and do the right service to your patrons. Disgusting Dr Lal 012-3706755More

My two friends and I came in at 1.45pm, July 4th 2020. We ordered 1 young coconut, 1 buttermilk with no ice, 1 bru coffee, 1 fish biriyani and 1 mutton biriyani. After 15min the waiter came back and informed that there is no more...young coconut. I then ordered buttermilk, which only was 3/4 full. After waiting for 30 minutes we received a cold mutton briyani. As we had decided to cancel order, the fish briyani then came 5 min later. Totally unacceptable service as serving cold food to customers after a 30 minute wait is really bad. Kindly upgrade your serviceMore
We have visited Anandha Bhawan at Penang Street opposite Woodlands The server used smelliest cloth to wipe the table without sanitizer spray which we can smell sting after he wipe the table also he didn’t wash his hand and with the same hand serving food...to other table as well They didn’t practice the SOP implements for restaurant during this current situation It’s DisasterMore
Monday lunchtime. I know excellent Indian food when I taste it - I’m a super enthusiast - and I’m hard to please (read my other reviews) - the good news is: this place is amazing. We ordered chicken tikka massala, chicken hyderabadi and mixed veg...manchurian with ghee rice, jeera rice and garlic nan. Everything was pretty much faultless - just a delight from start to finish. Great sauces, perfectly balanced flavours and beautifully spiced. Chicken good quality and nicely marinated and cooked accurately. Thank you for a wonderful experience.More
We hoped for a nice evening meal. Somehow, this wasn’t quite what we hoped for. The service was poor. Took absolutely ages to get anything. The curries that came out were thick, oily, just didn’t seem fresh and tasty. Too bad we didn’t read reviews...until we go there. They seem run off their feet. Tons of people. It didn’t settle well.More
Very disappointing experience. Expect efficient service and good food in a South Indian restaurant. Both were missing. 1. Had to repeat order three times, and even then the waiter seemed to forget some dishes. 2. Later when reminded that some dishes were missed, he said...they are no longer available 3. For delayed dishes, he ordered them again, making us pay twice. 4. Dosa and medu wada served without chutney and sambar 5. No water or tissue papers on the table. 6. Hot on one side of the restaurant, AC working only at one end. 7. One dish came so late, that we took it as takeaway. Not recommended at all.More
Nice and friendly service. Best indian food ever. We had Tikka masala on banana leaves, briani rice, gulab jamon, indian coffee. Restaurant feels genuine in the center of Little India. Perfect for lunch or dinner.
