This time brought the whole family here…fried bitter gourd best i ever tasted, it was crispy and light. Even my daughter in law said its d best and she is pure Indian. We had visited the restaurant on two occasions due to the delicious food and lovely environment the restaurant offered. They offer authentic Indian food with a range of curry dishes. Would definitely visit the restaurant when in Kota Kinabalu next time.
Taste & service still maintain. Food is good. Love the quail & varuval dishes. Ordered fish head curry, chicken briyani, mutton varuval & banana leaf rice sets, Lassi & masala tea was good.
The guy or could be the manager of this restaurant was very rude attending customer. Felt very disappointed the way he treated us. I won't recommend to anyone
We love this Indian restaurant! We remembered this place from the 1st time we were in KK and were thrilled that it met all our expectations of a terrific reunion. We’re veggies so we always get the vegetarian plate on a banana leaf. Delish! This...time we also added a Masala Dosa and were not disappointed. The food was wonderful and the same owners were delightful. Highly recommended!More
I have been coming to jothys for almost 8 years and the quality and consistency of the food remains the same throughout. I went again recently and new items in menu are as delicious as the rest. Now have more vegetarian options.
We live over 6000 miles from this restaurant, but our family members, when in KK, have enjoyed visiting many times for over a decade. On our last visit the food was outstanding and our favorite meal during our tour of Malaysia. The food is of...great quality, fresh and so tasty, along with friendly service. We will be back.More
Delicious and consistent, I come here as many times as I can when I'm in KK. The family is friendly, the food is fresh, cheap and unbelievably tasty. Hoping for many more decades of Jothy's!

A group of us made a call before going and ended-up receiving terrible service just because we all ordered all vegetarian & simple meals. An elderly old man was rude and wasn't even looking at us when he was answering us with a rude and...bossy tone. At the same time, we noticed he treated the next table people with utmost respect and politeness who apparently ordered more dishes. So does huge vegetarian group low standard service here? Food taste average and I believe google review is overrated. I would never recommend to go here.More

We’ve been going to Jothy’s for 30 years or so. Visits have been few and far between since moving to Kuala Lumpur. Today, we happened be in the vicinity and decided to drop in for dinner. Our favorite banana leaf restaurant has gotten better with...time. The owners Siva & Devi greeted us like long lost friends. The food was as good as we remembered. Fried fish roe, mackerel and sambal prawn were all excellent . We washed these down with teh tarik and masala tea. The restaurant was almost full when we got there, surely a good sign. If you’re looking for banana leaf meal or just good spicy food, you can’t go wrong at Jothy’s.More

We had an amazing meal here on the last night of our visit. The food was amazing! It was spicy, the portions were perfect, the ingredients were fresh, it was well cooked and most importantly, it was delicious! My 18 year old son said it...was one of his best meals ever. The staff were friendly and the room was air conditioned. It was really good value too so we had large meals, fresh coconuts and lassi for drinks. I really wished we had been here earlier in our trip as I would love to eat there again. I strongly recommend it to anyone.More

Went here a five days,during our stay in KK. The banana leaf here is really good and so are the chicken beriani and masala chiken. Great place especially for vegetarian. Liked everything we tried here. Nice manager& staff too.

Near Marriott, Jothy’s is clean, air conditioned and serves good curries and Indian breads. Their roti chenai is an ‘A’ fluffy and slightly crispy on the outside. Chicken Briyani rice is very good ‘A-‘, comes with 3 veggie condiments and a perfect accompaniment to the...signature Fishhead Curry. Because it is a Golden Snapper and market priced we paid RM50 for half. Almost Singapore price. Still it’s a delicacy and the fish is very fresh. Next time we’d order the snapper slices instead.More

Was on a business trip to Kota Kinabalu for 3 days from 24th - 27th June. Visited Jyoti’s Restaurant 4 times for lunch & dinner. The restaurant is clean & very well maintained. Food delicious and served piping hot (throughout the day). And the service...top notch - the owners (Mr Siva & Family) are there throughout the day to personally serve & supervise. Restaurant is convenient & centrally located in downtown Kota Kinabalu. Highly recommended.More
