We were here 4 times during our visit in KK. The pizzas were fantastic - so good. We also tried the very delisious greek salat. Definately a place to go!

Visited this restaurant last week end The menu looked inviting But the service was so slow that by the time the food came we were not hungry anymore. As some reviews have called it the best Italian food in KK This might be in some peoples openion but we did not think so. Just by reading the owners comments to... More

This restaurant should be number 1. We have trained in Florence in Italian cookery and the food served by the lovely Italian chef in this restaurant is as good as Italy. Fresh, genuine ingredients... Simply sublime. This restaurant perhaps doesn't know how good it is and needs to employ a few more waitresses because the place was full and only... More

it was so surprising to find in Kota Kinabalu such an high quality Italian cousine! the food is fresh and traditionally Italian made and composed, the pizza, made at the Roma's style (which means it is thin and light) was so delicious and so was the salad, the cozze soutè and all we had .. we just couldn't believe we... We basically opted for this place due the menu AND the availability of a seafront table. Glad we did, because we had some really tasty and thin pizza. They have decent wine too, so nearly can't go wrong.

It's a strange feeling when you, sitting in Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia, realize that you are at the best Italian restaurant you've ever been to. But that's how it is. If you're in KK, you should eat at the waterfront. The sunset here is amazing. Of some reason, Gusto is often less crowded than the other places, so also a... More

First night we had a pizza and my wife ordered the tuna carpacio. As it was not available we were offeted the salmon carpacio. The salmon was raw as it should but not treated in any way for bacteria and not fresh. The spicing was a joke, just some lime juice over it. Not threated and expired it tastes bad,... More

Since we're quite busy, only now got the time to reply your post. Salmon is fresh chilled shipped by air twice a week from Norway. Together with yellow fin tuna is our most popular dish. Packaging are vacuumed. What it should be an anti bacteria treatment?? Italian Carpaccio is simply marinated with extra virgin olive oil salt lemon, our salmon... More

Great food and ambience! Personally love everything they offer but their salmon won me over ( as a salmon-lover I'm not exaggerating ). Definitely a must place to try.

We enjoyed an evening meal here, unfortunately the day was a little wet so we couldn't sit by the waterfront. We had the mussels which were on the OK to disappointing side but their tuna was so fantastic we instantly forgave them for the mussels!

Solid, good food - and its prices are very reasonable considering the menu offerings are of a high quality (tuna carpaccio - heaven!) I am NOT a fan of the Waterfront area in general as I find it shabby and run down (not Gusto's fault). The whole area really stinks sometimes (also not Gusto's fault) but if you do happen... More
