Went last night for dinner and it was good albeit expensive, only had two tiger prawns cooked in dry butter style and 3 abalones steamed with rice and a carrot juice, bill came to 106 RM! However seafood quality was good and you get what you pay for basically. I think the tiger prawns were a bit overpriced.

I last visited this place in December 2012 and it was quite a nice place, though a bit pricey. On last visit to KK last weekend (1-4 May 2015), I noticed that this restaurant seems to be no longer in operation. Did not manage to snap a picture as I was driving.

Serves wonderful fresh seafood. We ordered fresh grouper, live prawns, mud crabs, tung fung lo and Sabah vegetables, All cooked to perfection, tasty and satisfy our appetite. Best in town.

Price way too high. Freshness not there. Food Quality - lots of rooms for improvement. Service - not attentive. Cleanliness - need to uplift a little bit more, especially on the wet floor and small littering.

This restaurant is at the centre of Kota Kinabalu city. There are literally two Grand Portview Restaurant outlets, the old original restaurant is located opposite the Customs Department next to the now disused warehouses. The new one is located at the Kota Kinabalu esplanade. Literally, if you stay at Hyatt, La Meridien or Promenade hotels, you can take a short... More

During our stay in KK and met up some friends and brought us for dinner at the Grand port view Restaurant. The food were quite delicious. We had crab, prawn, fried chicken, tofu, vege and soup. Especially the crabs my daughter liked very much.

In an overpriced city, this restaurant was a pleasant surprise. Located opposite Grandis Hotel and near Jesselton Point. We had two variety of prawns, roast chicken, vege & tofu for 5 adults and we could not finish as the servings were more generous then we had anticipated. Service from staff was very attentive. Food served quickly. When the bill came... More

I loved the fresh seafood this restaurant served. The price was reasonable unlike those popular outdoor seafood stalls that over charge the tourists. You can have a peace of mind that everything prepared and served in a clean and comfortable environment.

Live seafood restaurant approach unique to us Americans; enjoyed the experience. Food was great but it was over priced...the service, atmosphere do not match the price point.
