A very nice cafe off the busy main road which serves western fare. Menu selection was varied and food was great. Although the service as a tad slow, we were in no hurry. The lunch time crowd was not too busy. Would stop by again
Ordered coffee with milk on the side and scrambled eggs on sourdough toast. My food came but they didn’t bring cutlery and I had to go inside to get some. I’d finished my food before my coffee arrived. I was given soya milk when I...asked for cows milk. This curdled my coffee. But I had waited so long I had to go anyway! I wouldn’t mind but they charge service! Shame as it’s a nice place and eggs were very good.More
In the last month or so we've been having Fruity Churros for breakfast at Nook, they are absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately the last time we were there it seems the Churros are now off the menu. What shall I do now, I'm bereft !? Hope they...have a rethink and put them back on. Their other breakfasts are also yummy, but not quite as good as the churrosMore
The food was good, service was great and perfect music choice if you like kpop 👌🏼. The grilled cheese was delicious. The only 'bad' thing is that the portions might be a tad small if you're crazy hungry. Would definitively recommend!
Decided to visit this cafe after seeing the reviews from trip advisor. The cafe has great food and ambience. Love the breakfast set! Everything is so tasty. The earl grey chocolate drink is very unique and yummy too. Will definitely recommend and come back again.
What a nice & lovely food i eat there 😋. Eventhough there is no much food menu choices, but still yet i got the food is delicous. This is my first visiting & looking forward to go here again. I order nook’s omelette & hot...latte. I was they 1st customer arrive then the staff treat me well 😊. Only this place very hard to find parking. If u dont mind u can park ur car at jubili multi storey car park. Just walk about 5 mins to this cafe. I cant wait to pay visit this cafe again 👍🏻.More
had their People Breakfast's which came with crispy on the outside and soft inside toast which is TO DIE FOR!. Wished I could bring back the whole loaf of bread back home :)
Nook Cafe was full when our family and our friends entered, but the staff helped us find a good spot for such a large amount of people. After we were seated, they didn't bothered us so that we had time to decide what food and...drinks we would like to order. They came when you called them too. The wait for the food and drinks weren't long, and the drinks looked beautiful. The food also tasted great, especially when there is relaxing music playing in the background. I highly recommend this cafe as it is clean with great food and excellent customer service.More
Very nice hip and trendy coffee place. They hve a kitchen so you can also order some food though the menu is limited. Cakes and scones are nice and not sweet. Coffees and matchas can also be made with soy milk. Mine was lovely. The...place is small inside. Especially now with sop restrictions in place. There’s a terrace in the back outside. Perfect place to have a coffee, some scones and read a book for a while. The crowd is mostly local youngsters with money to spend (nothing is cheap here…but it’s worth the money). Nice place to visit and recommendedMore
great coffee, good food, nice atmosphere, nice friendly service, low key, a bit pricey by local standards and a smallish menu but is rather good as an occasional hang-out place for locals and a homely option for western travellers.
Coffee and food is good and consistent but the service is sometimes not good. Waiting times are long and feel like there is no leader in the restaurant. Just workers who don’t have customer service abilities. Shame could be an amazing experience otherwise
My wife and I lived in Kota Kinabalu for a few years and Nook was our favorite cafe (and we tried MANY cafes in KK - some others are still good but Nook was our clear favorite). The staff is fantastic, the food and coffee...are tasty, and the ambiance is top notch. It's also normally difficult to find good bread in KK, and Nook's is easily the best (Nook renovated last year to add a bakery so they could bake their own breads in-house). Great sourdough and brioche. Nook is a place that continues to grow, adapt, and add to their offerings to improve customer experience, so I imagine they'll only keep getting better (they just added a mini-market!). It's also a great place for working on your laptop (but be respectful and courteous, of course, and be sure not to take up a big table or stay for hours without ordering things - there are plenty of tasty cakes, drinks, and treats to try anyway).More
Good coffee place with a good selection of breakfast and drinks. The wifi works very well and the nice is friendly.
Very enjoyable cafe that offers delicious breakfast and drink options. We would recommend the lavender lemonade and Kaya french toast.
