The food was delicious. We had never seen cockles this big before. However, we found that the small cockles tasted better. The sautéed fern was very nice. So was the jellyfish dish. The steamed prawns were really fresh and sweet. The fried fish was done...so well that we can eat the whole fish up, bones included. This place was not air conditioned and they will light up the mosquito coils and put them under the table. It would be a good idea to put on insect repellent.More

Food taste just nice but too pricey.., just imagine 3 plates of omelette cost u rm48..plus the cashier quite arrogant. Not worth to come since it quite far from town. Top spot still a better choice. i could rate 3/10 for this place.

10 mins from Damai is where this coastal town is located. This resto has been around for many years serving fresh seafood. Must visit. Service is quick. No AC though but the sea breeze is nice.

pros - the restaurant is easy to find and you can call-in and book for a table before arriving. Food is super delicious, selection of fresh seafood was great at unbeatable price. We were in a group of 8 and spent only RM220 for the...whole bill which is unheard of in KL!! and mind you we ordered steam kerapu fish, butter prawns, oyster pancakes, sweet n sour chicken, steamed clams (kepah), famous midin veggies, noodles along with longan and lychee for dessert. cons - the decor is simple, no fuss seafood restaurant, so if you are looking for fine dining restaurant - this is not it. Ordering food can also be quite frustrating as you need to get the attention of the right person to take your order as most of the servers only cleans table as they are not skilled waiters/menu takers. So if you manage to catch a hold of the waiter... do make sure you order everything, there and then. Also, there's no menu given so just ask for the waiter to propose what style of cooking in case u are unsure how you want your seafood to be cooked. :)More

It's almost like a kelong style restaurant. It's on slits above the swap, so you can see many small crabs on the ground of the swamp during dinner time. I love the view. Food is served quickly and it tasted great! No sunset view from...here.More

Yesterday, my husband and I wanted to go for an early dinner and were craving for seafood. So we drove all the way out to Buntal to Lim Hock Ann, which used to be a good place for seafood. When we arrived at 6pm there...were quite a few guests, but it was far from being full. After we ordered, it took quite long to receive our fresh lime drinks. The fresh lime was water with a quarter of a small lime in it. It turned out that not only the drinks took long... we waited over an hour for the food! And the food was nowhere near worth a long wait. The midin and baby kailan were good but nothing out of the ordinary. When we had already eaten the vegetables then finally the crab dish arrived. The crab was good. And only once we had almost finished the crab then the tom yam seafood soup was served. It was cold, it was not spicy as it should be and the seafood consisted of 2-3 tiny squid rings, 2-3 tiny shrimps and a hell of a lot of frozen fish balls. We were horribly disappointed! When we went to pay, we got the final slap in the face... the bill was ridiculously high, with the 2 normal-sized crabs coming in at a price of RM 98. Never have we paid this much for a seafood dinner for 2 person!More

We always try and visit on our trips to Kuching to same the fresh seafood dishes. Oyster Omelette is a must . Crispy fried noodles with chicken and prawns in a tomato based sauce is excellent . Prawns in egg white , calamari with ginger...and onions and green vegetables were also very tasty . It looks like some maintenance to the outdoor decking will be needed but the views over the beach with kids playing soccer outside are an extra bonus . Well worth the short trip 19k from Kuching.More
