Didnt know that theres a restaurant in Kuching that actually sells Tomahawk. Decided to give it a try since i found about it from the chef, Chef Nazrin. Himalayan Salt Dry Aged Tomahawk (1300grams) - in the menu its to be shared with 2-3 people.... Honestly 3-5 people is okay to esp light eaters! Love the soup, the side dish and love the chef’: hospitality - the waitress seems bitter but the chef made our night fun!More

Himalayan Salt Dry Aged Tomahawk(1300gram) to be share with 3-4 people. The only restaurant that serve Tomahawk cut in Kuching , that I know of at least, Recommended to go for Medium done , do note it will take a while for it to serve..., but definitely worth the wait . The chef , Chef Nazrin who is in charge for the night, personally explain on our dish for the night and carve the Tomahawk by the tableside. Chef Nazrin is so passionate and patiently explain all the questions that we ask during the dining , he is super knowledgable too making the whole dining experience worth to be brag about! As for the side dish , you could choose 2 types of potatoes and two types of vege . For potatoes , we chose whipped and au gratin. As for veges, we chose creamy spinach and grilled vege. I used to think there are 3 places in Kuching for good steaks - the Junk, Tom's and Hilton Steakhouse. Well you can now strike off the last one. The rm118 chilled ribeye, ordered medium rare, was such badly done it was inedible. Tough, chewy...full of muscles and toughness with no redeeming taste at all. I used to enjoy coming here. Sadly no more. Seems like everyone agreed as well. No other customers when we were there that night!More

the place was very quiet which was nice. unfortunately, that was one of the very few things that were good about this place. our table was in a corner at the far end. my chair needed to be changed as it was broken (the seat...back was out and if i wasn't careful i would have fallen over backwards). there were a few lizard droppings on the table cloth (which was promptly removed...but the table cloth not changed out). the wine list was very modest but had a few nice options which we enjoyed. we ordered a porterhouse steak done rare with all of the relevant accoutrements. they served us a complimentary (and very delicious) spinach soup while we waited for our food to arrive. it was a pleasant wait with the nice wine and service. then they brought out the food...one at a time the table was laid out. and eventually one of the chefs wheeled his station over to cut the steak at table side. the stead was cold and hard on the outside. when cut open, it was cold inside, a deep garnet, not a dark red like a rare steak should be. eventually they offered to replace the steak and the replacement was of the correct temperature, colour and texture. unfortunately they served it on a hot plate that was way too hot which killed the steak. the one person who made this evening special was our server Masturi. she was unflappable and polite and generous the entire time, plus she gave me a surprise cake. Thanks for making our experience much better.More

All I wanted after a day of sightseeing was a good steak. The Steakhouse dis not disappoint. The New Zealand ribeye was cooked to perfection, with a refreshing gin and tonic to go with it. Also enjoyed the complimentary spinach soup which was a lovely...surprise. The wait staff were attentive but discreet, lovely way to end a day.More

For the price that this restaurant expects customers to pay, the standard of food and service here is not at all up to standard. Firstly, no one was at the entrance to take us to our seats. After being seated and given a food menu,...no water was given to us. It was only given to us after we asked for it, long after we ordered our food. When we ordered our food and drink, we ordered the set menu with fruit juices. We asked for no water to be mixed into our drinks but that request was not satisfied. For a RM22 drink that can be found for RM2 at any other restaurant, that is appalling. I also noted that they didn't ask for any dietary requirements, which is a must for any high-class restaurant that doesn't want to run the risk of an allergic customer. The entree is the Chef Naz Salad, which had a sous vide cooked then seared Maguro Agami and salad. The fish was cooked nicely, although ofcourse would be difficult to go wrong with a sous vide. But the dish overall was extremely lazy. We were then given a Cream of Spinach which had a rather oily layer on top and a slice of bread that looked like it'd been cut with a knife designed to seperated atoms - very thin. Otherwise it was nice to eat. Finally, we ordered the steak. Considering this is a steakhouse, we expected the standard to be a lot higher, but we weren't even given a steak knife to cut the steak with. The meat was also cooked a little too much for our liking and not much taste. The cut was also quite thick, and not cut evenly. I do not understand how the chefs expect the meat to cook evenly. The dessert unfortunately was most disappointing. A Cheesecake that looked and tasted like a cheap cake you can buy from the supermarket and a strawberry with its stem brown and not even removed was very sad. Overall the experience was a disappointment for a customer looking for good food. To end on a good note, the ambience is nice and the waitresses were polite. The bread and butter served at the beginning was also warmed perfectly and allowed for the butter to melt nicely on top of it. However, considering the steak is supposed to be the most important part of this dinner experience, it failed our expectations greatly.More

Its located on the lower level of Kuching Hilton Hotel. Bery elegant, cozy & quiet place. I ordered a NZ tenderloin medium rare steak. It came with 1) Bread & butter 2)House wine Luise Felipe 3)Cream of Spinach soup 4)boiled veg 5) meshed potatoes &...mushroom sauce (there are different choices of potatoes & sauces to choose from) 6) dessert chocolate chip with almond cookies. The Manager(Ms Josie) was very friendly & hospitable kept your updated on the timing of your food & checking how you find the food quality. See photos below. It costed me MR178. A ver good price for a delicious & yummy beef steak meal. No where can you compare the quality of food & service. Unfortunately it only open in the evening & quite deserted. Good if you want a quiet meal. Very cozy place. The steak came on a hotplate. Very tender, tasty, succulent & sumptuous. Must go there again on my next trip to Kuching. Worth every penny you paid for the meal. Excellent service & good quality food.More
