Pretty hard to get a great cappuccino or flat white in Kuching (Starbucks are everywhere !) so this is a nice spot in old China town ) . Everything is a short distance from each other in Kuching so nice to stop for a break....Limited seating inside - a few tables in shade on sidewalkMore
📍Black Bean Coffee, Kuching If you wish for authentic Sarawakian coffee, here's the place to go. The 'Iced Gula Apong Latte' is a top-seller and a favourite amongst many. Going strong for approximately 20 years already, Kuchingites love the authenticity of the coffee beans procured...from this café. Black Bean Coffee is proudly Sarawakian, featuring Sarawakian coffee beans which is a specialty of theirs. These beans are the perfect gifts for Coffee Lovers with a taste for finer things. Gourmet Coffee lovers should not give this place a miss. *this café is located at Carpenter Street, open daily except for SundayMore
Coffee(black bean),during morning breakfast hours; people like to make a cup order either hot or cold one. The well-roasted beans and by professional espresso machine in this cafe shop surely got consumers' attraction.
A small little coffee shop serving home roasted local coffee beans. Had a lovely cappuccino and my wife a iced green jasmine tea which was good. Great selection of beans and bought a a bag of Liberica beans (vacuum sealed on the spot, can grind...as well). For those foreigners, please do respect the local ways of working and don’t compare too much with the international coffee shop chains - it’s unfair.More
Friendly vibe, nice local coffee drinks, not cheap though. It was busy but we didn't feel rushed, in fact a local couple invited us to join them, and we chatted for about an hour. There are plenty of places to get coffee but I'd go...back to this one for sure.More
This small cafe serves coffee and tea, and small biscuits. The local coffee has a dark roast. I bought two mineral water bottles. When I asked for ice, the cubes were provided in ceramic coffee cups. Both bottles of water had loose caps. There was...no other water available. The location on Carpenter Street ensures lots of footfall. I found it odd that three different people serving coffee there were abrupt and unfriendly, and not a single person returned my smile. Most other coffee shops and bars on Carpenter Street make you feel welcome, but Black Bean does not.More
We went for a takeaway of 3 cups of coffee today. As the drink was hot, we asked for a cup outer-sheath, which is commonly provided by other vandors. The owner instead gave a thin plastic bag holder, which obviously was not enough to block...the heat. We requested for something more suitable. She said that it was our own business that the coffee was too hot and would not provide anything else, even a serviette. We already paid an extra RM1.00 for the takeaway cup and would charge us additional RM1.00 for an added empty cup. We were left there, stunned in disbelief at the kind of bad and arrogant attitude we received.More
Got here just when they were about to close (shop shuts down at 6pm) but was rewarded with excellent coffee and wonderful biscuits to go with it.
Guide recommended this small coffee shop that serves great coffee with superb service. Beats the large corporates hands down. Don’t go if you are looking for anything other than coffee or tea as you will be disappointed, but if coffee is your thing you will...be more than happy.More
Passion is the key success of their business. Must try their coffee and sit back relax to enjoy the environment.
When you reach the front door of this coffee shop, you will indulge in the great smell of the bean. It’s super relax & comfy. Yes, they have limited seat but is not a problem to enjoy a great coffee.
my brother in law travel from Sweden to kuching during chinese new year and he was amazed by the taste of Liberica coffee. bought few kg back. there are lots of in house blend and other single origin coffee available. but to be able to...claim you have drink at Black bean coffee is to request for liberica beans for your americano, latte, espresso and so on. by default if you dont specify what bean, it will be house blend which is a mixture of liberica and other arabica. give it a try. oh yeah, forgot to mentioned, bring your own coffee tumbler, to save the environment and save extra charges for take away cup.More
We like to try out Malaysian coffee and especially from East Malaysia coffee. The espresso tasted good and we decided to pick up a kilo. However, the price looks double than good Bali coffee that we are drinking.
Just bought some Sarawak Liberica beans. Liked the packaging and it's fresh. The coffee here, simply delicious!
