The ambience is still there but we are a rowdy bunch after good food. Maybe the organizer doesn't know how to order...but the duck was mediocre. The fish was tasteless. I think Uncle Roger would have struggled with any superlatives on the fried rice. The...dessert, Red Bean Soup....first time in my life I didn't finish my bowl (and my wife saw my glare when she asked if I wanted a second). Really , what happened to this illustrious restaurant?More

The food here is as usual of a high quality and tasty. On this occasion, we had the Peking duck. The skin and pancakes were fine, but the accompanying duck dish that was cooked in pepper was overdone, making the duck meat really tough -...that was disappointing. Otherwise, the salted egg prawns, taufu and vegetables were very good.More

We had an excellent Peking Duck with fried noodles & Imperial Tofu. Food was excellent & service was friendly & good..... UNTIL I went to the washroom at 9pm & my guest was told they are clearing the table & he'd have to go. I...returned to find him standing near the entrance of the restaurant waiting for me. I went to ask what was going on & they promptly presented the bill & then apologised after I asked them what was the rush since the restaurant is open till 10pm. There was also staff cleaning n taking rubbish out while we were eating. What a pity to ruin a good restaurant with such strange behaviour. The staff need to realise what is good manners while guests are still there & learn to organise & prioritise their work. Not simply rushing to go home. Really annoying. The secret? Go early & run before the mayhem at 9pm!!!More

Had dinner on a Saturday, during the Chinese New Year period. The dishes were of the usual high standard. A bit disappointing was the the salmon lou sang came all pre-mixed- a bit unusual, but maybe because the restaurant was absolutely full. Other dishes (vegetables,...tau foo, char siew/siew yoke platter) were good, only maybe the cod was very slightly dry. Service was prompt despite the full restaurant. Still an enjoyable meal.More

We had a superb Chinese New Dinner at this restaurant. The salmon Yee sang was very good indeed. All the dishes we ordered were also excellent, including the vegetables with macadamia nuts, soya bean with mushroom, cod and the char siu and siew yoke. Service...was excellent. Staff were attentive. The restaurant is very popular and busy.More
