We had 15 paxs, and was happy to have a private room with a large round table from Ah Ben. Great food served well by two waiting staff. Our tea cups were never empty. Presentation was first class, had I not been told the hanging..."mini oranges" were edible. Loved the braised abalone with Lingzhi mushroom and the charcoal grilled iberico pork ribs esp. All in great ambience and service with the maître d' frequently checking the food delivery.More

Had one of their banquet menu for 10 people and expected the food to be of similar standard to the Oriental Landmark and the Oriental in Jaya33. Let down was the braised whole 10 head abalones was tough and the double boiled fish maw &...chicken soup flavour not 'deep' enough. The best dish was the last one which was the Steamed chicken and rice. Guess because this was freshly done.More

My wife and I had lunch here with a few of our relatives, during our recent holiday in Kuala Lumpur. The food was good. Ambience is nice. Service was okay.

Their dimsum are nice and quality is consistent. Recommended dish: 1. Fried carrot cake 2. Char xiu pau (steam bun with pork meat) 3. Har kaw (prawn dupling) 4. Porridge 5. Fried Hokkien Noodles Come before 11.30am to avoid the crowd.

Pre-MCO ya 🙏🏻 I am still abiding by the law Man, I miss dining out! Come weekend, normally I'd think of what to eat and where to bring them to eat. A bit of family time, eating some nice dishes together. Even now that the...conditions have been loosened, I'd still think twice before going out. So, Tang Room is operated by people behind Oriental Group. Located in Starling Mall in Damansara Utama (Uptown), this restaurant is the nearest to me among others. When I'm feeling lazy to drive far, this place is just less than 10 minutes away. Armed with a bottle of Spanish brut, the evening is already 50% guaranteed to be a good one.. while the balance depends on the outcome of the dishes. ◾icy Japanese vegetable salad - gaining popularity as salad of choice lately, I just love the crunchy texture of this veggie. ◾charcoal grilled iberico pork neck with garden green salad - nothing spells sin and healthy at the same time. ◾Indonesian style freshwater prawns with vermicelli - when it comes to seafood, it'll not be cheap but I can't resist ordering this dish everytime I'm at Oriental. The creamy and delicious soup alone was enough to make me drink all.. just dunk the mihun into the soup and let it soaked up all the soup. ◾Salt & pepper pork trotter - crispy skin and moist tender meat coupled with the simple salt & pepper made this porcine dish a favourite of mine. ◾beancurd in crab roe sauce ◾braised egg noodle with minced meat & eggplant - I had to feed the small ones and they liked this dish. The dinner went well - we finished everything, we chatted and laughed together, and we even finished the whole bottle of brut.More

Had a dim sum meal with family this morning. Service was fast and staff friendly. However foods were generally salty especially radish cake typhoon shelter style and chives dumpling (++). Staff was in a rush and missed out on two orders.

Under Oriental Group and reliable. The dimsum here is way better than Han Room in gardens! Service is ok and the place is spacious, better than Ming at BSC. Will def return.

Marvellous service, great food- ticking all boxes of a good Chinese restaurant! It is rather pricey but it was a nice experience and we have been here a few times when we want Chinese food.

Had an old school reunion dinner, with a nice private room to seat 14. Chef's Truffled Sweet potatoes fries was not great, but we did devoured the salted egg fried straw mushrooms pretty quickly. Unfortunately, the mains were not particularly outstanding like steamed patin, chicken...rice, kailan and black fungus. The claypot braised pork ribs was the best. Perhaps the Dim Sum might be better choice. Service was good though.More

We are impressed by the good service and food. They even arranged to cook food for the items we ordered in advance to cater for one of us who has peanut allergy. We appreciate that they even used special peanut free oil for the preparation....A special thanks to their supervisor Mr Addy Chong.More
