We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at The Tug, watching the sunset over the beautiful coast. We sat outside on the deck, which I highly recommend. Service was very good and our food was really delicious. We enjoyed the beet appetizer, the seafood stew, the vegetarian pasta, and the kingclip. Highly recommended!

Very good food at reasonable prices. A tug boat was transformed in to a restaurant high over the shoreline.

This restaurantt at the start of the pier is a great place for one of the best meals in Namibia! But it is very popular so reservation is recommended to avoiddisappointments. The service is a bit pushy, but friendly. For a family or romantic evening The Tug is a very nice place togo. Recommended.

Book a table a couple day before your visit and you will enjoy an amazing night. Also lovely vegetarian options. Said to be one of the best restaurants in town and combining food quality, service and atmosphere, I agree.

Our waiter was terribly rude. Myself along with several friends went to"The Tug" on the 20th of March and our waiter ignored us most of the time, aside from taking our order. When we finished our meal we asked him 3 times to bring our checks, after waiting over 30 minutes we got the manager and asked for our checks... More

The Tug is set on on the sea front with views over the sea. We had fortunately booked and suggest you do the same. If you don't you may be disappointed. The food was amazing. I had surf and turf, shellfish and steak my husband had a game steak, Kudu I think. The service was polite and very attentive. I... More

The building is built aroundpart of an only Tug so it is a bit quirky, but in a good way. We ate here both nights in Swakopmund. Excellent choice of fish (but they do meat as well). Great Calamari and Kingklip. Some outside dining and a large indoor area. Great wine list, cocktails and good service. Essential to book at... More

We visited in a large group. The seafood was great (the cob - a local fish- was probably one of the best pieces of fish I have had in my life), the service was OK (pretty good for Africa in our two week experience) and the atmosphere and setting were great.

We went here on the off chance that we could get a table and were lucky. We had one rift in the middle of the restaurant on a raised area. The food was delicious and the staff very good. Beautiful location.
