Amazing that after we were having dessert and coffee they decide to bring a fish we were missing. Not only it was to late for it but instead of an apology they insisted that we have to pay for it. Unbelievable

No reservations, no fancy room to wait but a lively dining room filled with locals and great fish. Don't accept the secondary dining room unless you are famished but wait for main seating. There is a nice outs IDE space for warm weather. Also the waiter knows which fish is the freshest but won't want to tell you. Try anyway... More

While a few other dishes are available, what you go for is a large whole fresh fish, chosen from the range on display, and grilled simply. If that appeals, you won't go far wrong here.

Owner has disgusting attitude towards patrons. We went to Elias this Saturday evening. We have gone many times in the past. When the place is not crowded, the food is good and the service as, at best, acceptable. However, when the place is crowded, the service is terrible and the owner doesn't care how bad it is. Four of us... More

We found the food to be delicious and generously portioned. The waiter will tell you what's available...there's no printed menu. They are sure of themselves, and have every right to be. I read some of the negative reviews and am perplexed. We smile and are gracious, ask about the food and the prices, and never have any trouble at all.... More

This modest Greek restaurant right next to the elevated subway (and the occasional noise that creates) is a favorite for its sausages, scallops and salads. Not always perfect - the fried potatoes can be soggy, the vegetables an after thought - and extremely casual, it does offer an outdoor patio in warm weather and good food. Not cheap if you... More

Excellent branzino, cooked perfectly, tender, tasty. Sides were great as well, especially a mixed veggie grill with eggplant and zucchini. Nice find.

Totally Authentic Greek dinner, takes me back to the Mediterranean meals is Greece and fisherman towns of the Canary Islands. Shared the Greek salad, delicious and fresh with quality feta. Red wine half carafe was good accompanying wine for Porky grilled fish, sides of mixed grilled veggies and side of lemon grilled potatoes. Fish was fresh, grilled perfectly, and the... More

The freshest of fish that are expertly grilled by guys who know their craft. They are simply grilled w olive oil and herbs and presented in an austere surrounding.

We ate there Thursday 14th. Fantastic fresh seafood, great atmosphere. It feels like you are in a taverna on 5he coast of Greece. Everything we had was very good. The seabass for 3 done on the grill, lobster, and the various appetizers were all very good. If you look for fresh seafood at reasonable prices in the New York area,... More
