For 35 years, they have provided excellent service and very good food. It is a shame that they will be closing ina few days.

A large restaurant with excellent food, valet parking, coat check, live piano music, a wine cellar that also has a private dining room. Everything is excellent from appetizer to dessert. Unfortunately I heard they will close at the end of December. I hope they relocate.

When we lived in the area 20years ago we went here all the time. We were visiting for our anniversary and it was still wonderful. The Veal Scallopine Ponticello was as delicious as we remembered. Service was excellent and Joe one of the owners was as attentive and charming as ever. Unfortunately they will be closing at the end of... More

Met some friends at Ponticello in Astoria and overall had a great time. Solid drinks equal to their somewhat hefty price ($13 in Astoria is hefty) but a good poor nonetheless. An order of Calimari started us off on a great foot. The Calimari was light, hot and crisp and the marinara sauce was pretty impressive as well. Entrees were... More

My friends and I enjoyed a fabulously fun time at the bar before going upstairs for a private dinner. The bartender was brilliant! He was great with conversation and the drinks! Our dinner was just lovely. The entire staff was spectacular.

I have been to NYC many times and have dined in many neighborhoods and restaurants over many years. The best decision I have made in a long time was having dinner at Ponticello Restaurant in Astoria, NY. From the moment we sat at the bar until our final bite of dessert was consumed we were simply well taken care of.... More

Ponticello has the best food of any Restaurant I have been to. Service is excellent and everyone is pleasant. Valet parking is offered and of course you tip the guy for taking care of your car, the person who complained about it I guess never worked in an industry where you make a living on gratuities. Wake up and smell... More

This place was just spectacular, the food and the service were both top notch. Only grip I have is the valets who were not there when we arrived and parked in the lot and then they expected a tip for "watching" our car and even asked for it. The service inside the restaurant was superb, the waiters constantly asked if... More

Old Astoria standby, been here for decades. Under went a major "face lift" 10-15 years ago and although the place is more upscale and elegant, the overall quality slipped. Food is very inconsistent which drives me crazy. One night your meal is fabulous and the next visit it's meh...you are better off mid-week as they are rushed on weekends and... More
