A place to enjoy a pre-dinner drink and conversations at then of the day. The music is soothing and does not jar your sense nor disturb your discussion.

One of the biggest lobby I've visited. At night they have an orchestra that plays soothing music, suitable for couples's date night. The room size and the rest room is quite spacious for two pax. I will definitely visit manila pen again. I love their breakfast, esp the ensaymada. Very respectful crew. They sure give you everything you want as... More

I am not sure why most foreign business travelers love staying at the Shangri-La Makati or the Shangri-La Fort - both grand and modern. The Manila Peninsula is like a grand old hotel - it's great for entertaining and food with locals - lobby music and so on. Great especially on weekends when the local high society hang out. The... We had a staycation weekend at Manila Pen. The food was yummy at the Lobby and at Escolta. The gym was complete. There is yoga everyday. Our room was perfect! We were upgraded to their suite room.

Manila Pen is one of the truly grand hotels in Manila (Makati district). Lobby is spectacular with highest ceiling I can remember in Manila and with a life orchestra (style changes nightly) on the first floor. The service is also impeccable and it is frequently used by the locals to host guests form abroad or for celebrations.

The Lobby Lounge for me is as yet Classier than the neighboring hotels. Loved the low level lighting and ambient melodies originating from the string quartet above. Enchanting servers and servers. Ideal for a peaceful and unwinding family supper at whatever time of the week.

Had a wonderful experience and enjoyed high tea in the lobby. A large variety of options but the basic scone with cream and jam were lovey with tea!

The moment you enter the Lobby of The Peninsula, you are transported into a bygone era of opulence and grandeur. The beauty of this place lies in the larger than life splendor yet a subtle relaxing ambiance to soothe your senses to the mellow live music and a glass of wine with the impeccable food served in the Lobby.
