We had come to Cafe 1771 on a recommendation, but the experience was decidedly average. The range of wine on offer was poor, the one selection that we made proved to be "not available" and the food turned out generally below average. There were some nice salads to start, but after that it went downhill. Fairly pricey too.

The deco is the restaurant is nice, it's clean and comfortable, good place for social gathering among a few friends. Food taste great, but get a car park, as usual, in Manila can be a pain. Overall great place to be in.

If you want a good Filipino breakfast with a quiet ambiance then this is the place. It's a good meeting place for biz people. I tried the salmon cooked with a twist of tartness and spiciness. Adobo flakes is another dish which should be tried. I always come to this place whenever I'm here for a vacation.

One of our favourite places to have breakfast. The place is classy. Recently renovated where they made the library area larger since it became a fave spot for customers. The service is very good. The place is unhurried a very relaxing place to have breakfast lunch or dinner. The menu is simple and the food is very good and tasty.... More

If you like to have a quiet breakfast, this is the place to be. Bright interiors with homey furniture- perfect ambiance to start your day. Servings are quite big though. Restroom is spacious and bright! One of the nicest in town.

When you walk into the Cafe 1771 it's like you've walked into some kind of Old English lounge/book shop. It's a bit strange, but nice at the same time. While the menu appears limited at first (it's quite small in fact), I was pleasantly surprised by my pasta with capers and sardines. It was quite good. The carrot cake wasn't... More

Cafe 1771 is a destination restaurant, being elegant and sophisticated. It's like walking into someone's home to enjoy a magnificent meal. It's fresh and clean and the food is superb. We were welcomed with a plate of toasty, crisp bread drizzled with olive oil and then we enjoyed delicious appetizers having the Gambas (500) and the Chicken Liver Pate (250).... More

If you are looking for a place to bring a client for coffee and business, this is the place. The food is good, the ambience is classy, it is quiet enought for a business meeting. The service is not too good though. We went at 4pm and the place is not full, only 4 tables occupied but we still had... More

Food is great both on eyes and in your mouth. Made a blog post about it on my website and surprised on how inquiries about the place came flooding. Excellent staff and service.

My family has been having breakfast parties here for years. Its easy to go to, being in El Pueblo right in the middle of Ortigas Center; it has a nice Frenchy breakfast atmosphere, and the food is good, esoecially the breakfast choices. My personal favorites: hubad na longganisa or bangus for breakfast, for lunch lemon chicken. The fudge brownie and... More
