About
El Gecko was the first expat bar in mango back in 2003. Now one of th ebest bars in Cebu catering for passing through tourist and local expats. A lively, fun bar with live bands every night playing rock and lively music. We serve delicious food from brick oven 14" pizzas, burgers and vegetarian options all served by our gorgeous waitresses.

I was in Cebu for about 3 weeks. I spent nearly every night here. John is great. Roger the bartender is excellent. The ladies were outgoing and had a great sense of humor. #quan
Didn't have a chance to taste the food, but the Pizza and burgers, I hear are good quality compared to other locations. More gourmet than just the fast food junk you'll eat in the city. The drinks were P75, and a good deal.
I had a blast. Met some really good guys.
The live music is nightly and some really good American tunes. Rock and roll to alternative. Just an all around great time. When you find yourself in Cebu, drop by, have a Mig Light or a Pils and strike up a good conversation or play a game of pool.
Enjoy! I was there in 2019, and I'll be back again.

This was an interesting place. I stopped in for drinks and played some pool. There were lots of young women around. I got the impression that this was more for guys looking to pick someone up. I had a bottle of red wine, which was served in a bucket of ice. It was a low end wine but it was ok. I was left alone the entire time I was there and had to go to the counter to find someone to pay before I left.

#M Live music, friendly hostess. A Beers are cheap. Girls are there to earn. G So buy them a drink at a little more expensive cost. Go there to have a beer and chat with the other visitors. Friendly to ALL people. A

Attended tonight around 6.30pm for a few drinks and a game of pool. Two tv screens showing sport. Pizza menu on the wall. If there is a printed menu I don't know as I was never offered. Bought one lady a couple of drinks which aren't cheap. Live band came on at 9pm so good luck trying to talk to someone when the music is playing. What intrigued me was that the lady staff can play pool with customers. If the lady wins the customer has to buy her a lady drink. If the customer wins the lady buys are drink (read the bar provides the drink). Most lady staff hang around the pool table. Never come across a bar business model like this in SEA. Each to their own.

I went there and met Bill the owner (Aussie) and a GREAT guy. Actually the whole staff is great. Full of fun gringos and some HOT ladies. Has a good pool table, good music nightly, good food and clean.
Drop in have a beer and say Hey to Bill. You won't regret it....Tell him Lenny set ya.

Went there again for hoping they had a better atmosphere then last year,but no,totally impossible to sit inside when the live band playing,i dont know why the persist to so high volume, sat outside and every time they open the door i needed earplugs,even people who comne there went away after just 5 seconds,even the waitresses hate it,, who loves this ???????? it can be a nice cozy sportsbar if they stop the live bands playing,went to all star sportsbar and it was exactly the same ,wtf please stop the live bands at least for a few minutes

Filled with old fat woman! This is not a bar fineable bar. The woman's drinks are triple!!!! Horrendous food!
Total rippoff!
I would not recommend this bar to anyone!

Had a cab driver drop us off here while looking for somewhere to have a beer while in Cebu recently.
What a great place to have a some drinks.
The beer was ice cold, you can sit inside or out.
They had live music the evening we were there, the band was really good.
Biggest thing was having beers with the owner Billy! He made the whole night that much better.

Just a dive. There are a dozen much better places in walking distance. Cockroaches and busted toilets. Just avoid.

A welcoming experience live music 9 pm till 1 am, Most of the songs you will recognise before you know your singing and feet are tapping along , go and enjoy yournight

so I walked into this place and had around 6 or 8 beers.... payed my bill then walked out, I started chatting to the owner outside and so I ordered another beer.
when I requested the bill I was given a bill for the whole lot of beers instead of the 1 that I still needed to pay.
I explained the mess up to the girl at the bar but she was adamant that I didn't pay my bill. I explained this to the owner it he was no help either.
I even showed them the small plastic basket that change is returned in and said how do I have this if I have not paid the bill.
stay well clear of this place, it's dodgy.
