Made the mistake of popping in here on a hot May evening. It's a window less basement with no a/c. I was the only customer. Had a glass of Spanish White which was very good then surfaced to fresh air. It has good wifi.

The best evening I have had in Moscow. Don’t make my mistake and find it on your last night. Desperate to find some good food and wine the concierge suggested this place, its always the same where ever you travel, the best restaurants are the ones you would never find or never go in. What a great night it was... More

To add maybe is that they have each week special offer when you pay entrance fee and can try several vines of the same region or so... More

I think a most tourists who have been in Moscow would agree that the value for money is horrible. Things are expensive, which qulity is poor. It seems that restaurant owners worry more about making their restaurants and bars look prestigious rather than focussing on the quality of food and service. VinoSyr is a great exception. The place is decorated... More

Staying in Patriarch Ponds

Neighbourhood Profile
Patriarch Ponds
When you need to hide from the city’s noise and traffic but don’t want to stroll too far, Patriarch Ponds is the place to be. Calm water, friendly swans and ducks with beautiful early 20th century architecture in the background make this neighborhood a place you’ll never want to leave. Besides stylish bars and restaurants scattered in the streets around the pond, you’ll be able to enjoy museum life from modern art to a former private apartment of Mikhail Bulgakov. As most of the businesses are open late, stop for a cocktail and then stroll by the pond to rent a boat and row yourself to the middle of the “bowl” as the locals call it.
