Grand dining rooms. Good food and great service! Request for a table on the 2nd floor. They have lady musicians there who's music will enhance your dinner even more. Use their old fashioned elevator which I see only on movies. Go and you won't regret it!

I haven't been to this place for 5 years and my impression is that the food got worse. Two weeks age we went there in a company of four. 3 russians and one foreign guest. As it was his first visit he liked the surroudings, the service and considered food to be ok. My favourites in this restaurant previously were... More

Beautiful setting in an old Library with books et al - upstairs that is. The food was just about fine nothing to write home about - service good as was to be expected. Would i return - possibly no one experience was enough! Downstairs was absolutely buzzing and crowded whereas the upstairs is for "reservations only". Watch out for the... More

In an old mansion building is located the Famous Cafe Pushkin. If you are up to it and your budget allows and you have the proper outfit, by all means go for dinner. But if your budget is tighter, go a bit further down the road to the coffee place. Choose a nice cake with some hot chocolate and go... More

This is a restaurant every traveler to Moscow must visit. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, bringing one back to the olden days of Moscow. Food is delicious especially the Borsch; the best I've had in Moscow. One will definitely leave the restaurant feeling satisfied!

Very hard to describe, need to experience yourself. It's not so much about the food but the atmosphere. Very good wine list. You get transported into another world. We had a table on the second floor with large windows - прозрачный сумрак, блеск безлунный, когда я в....

The setting is lovely and the first floor had music. We had a very nice window table. My husband had mushrooms in cream and elk sausage. He said his was very good. I did not have same luck. I had borscht and beef stroganoff at the waiter's suggestion. Neither was very good. Both were Luke warm and the stroganoff was... More

I did not see such service with reading poems. The food is great! Looks like a museum, necessary to visit.

Staying in Tverskaya

Neighbourhood Profile
Tverskaya can’t be discovered with just a first glance, the neighborhood is shaped around a long street populated with well-known shops and brands. But it’s more than shopping that makes this place interesting. Take a few steps into the streets running parallel to the main artery to discover the charm just behind the mighty Stalinist style architecture. Comfy European pedestrian streets Bolshaya Dmitrovka or Stoleshnikov lane are a great place to start. Locals can be found here working, eating, shopping, resting and going to the Bolshoi Theatre in the evening.
