Every year I am in Guangzhou I dine at the Macau Street Restaurant and the food is consistently good. My favourite is the curry chicken and potatoes. The service isn't the best but the food is delivered quick, as the restaurant is very busy, vibrant and noisey unless your in a private room. The restaurant can also be accessed through... More

It's a very good restaurant to go if you like canton food. Different kinds of canton soup available, choose anyone or ask the waitress for advice if you don't know which one to choose. The most popular dish is BBQ pork neck, I order this one every time I go there.

It is a good restaurant with a huge menu of food options... Service is very fast but normal chinese service... Food is Ok, nothing special but good and not expensive... A lot of mixed dishes between chinese and portuguese,..,. a lot of seafood. Try it... you will find something on the menu that catch your eyes.

Located in the Sinochem building at Tiyuxi road. Huge area. Too many tables and huge crowd. Food tastes were ok. But service was slow and they did make mistakes of getting others orders into our tables. Portions are too big for anybody to finish, so order sensibly. payment by International credit cards dont go through many a times. They do... More

Macau Street has been in town for years and they have quite a lot of restaurants all over the city. I've been to a few of them but until lately, when I was at the one at the Sinochem Building on Tiyuxi Road. I'd say I got a kcik. It was a 16 people get-together and the VIP Room#1 is... More

Little did I know, one of the best restaurants in Guangzhou was attached to the Dong Fang Hotel and just a 3 minute jaunt from the Marriott China Hotel. Last October, I just happened to be wandering around the Dong Fang lobby and am came in through the back door of this place. I was hungry, was seated right away... More

This style of cooking is quite unusual to come by.. Goa,India makes it for the INDIAN palate ,Macau is too commercialised. This restaurant is HUGE. Lunch time is very crowded but well worth waiting for a table.. The food is awesome .

You need to experience their Portuguese style cooking along with the traditional Chinese seafood dishes. The place is very vibrant so for groups you should book a private room.

I've been to Macau Street Restaurant on previous trips to Guangzhou and I've always thought that it was pretty good. On a recent visit to China it would have been rude not to return to Macau Street Restaurant to sample more of its delights. It's a giant restaurant (by UK standards at least) and we had our pick of tables... More
