We arrived on a Friday afternoon at around 16:00. We only had to wait for a short while before a table was available. Saw a lot of people eating some kind of flat translucent noodles. I thought it is an odd time to have lunch....More

Green tea is rich. The complimentary white sweets were way too sweet. If you cannot resist to try it, take a tiny bite to taste. I did not know it and ate the whole thing, I regretted it and I was stuck, as it would...More

Traditional Sweets, red bean desserts, arrowhead noodle. Must try in Kyoto. The sweetness is just the way I like, subtle and not overly sweet. The ambience is very relaxed, the staff are polite. What more can you ask for?

Nice place with many locals. They seem to enjoy the arrowhead noodles which taste strange to me with the brown syrup. Other sweets like the red bean with millet cake was yummy. But the arrowhead noodles are not for me.

Intrigued by the positive reviews, I went expecting arrowhead noodles to be delicious but my friend and I both didnt like it. The arrowhead noodles though interesting, were tasteless on its own and it basically had to be coated with the brown sugar syrup for...More

Geiko and Maiko in their traditional makeup with
gilded hair in full kimono can be seen drifting the
