This is essentially a tofu restaurant, serving steaming hotspots of delicious tofu, accompanied by a variety of meats, fish or vegetables, as well as numerous side dishes. Dinner there was a unique and tasty experience. The setting is beautiful, next to a delightful garden. The...More

First time experience with a vegetarian, largely tofu menu. Wanted something tasty and not heavy for lunch and this fit the bill. Enjoyed each of the dishes. Very nice setting and attentive staff. Highly recommended!

We booked Yuba Kaiseki Dinner course. It was presented beautifully in a great setting. However, my family is not a fan with the food. We love other Japanese food: sushi, sashimi, ramen, rice bowl...but not Yuba Kaiseki...unfortunately.

The food was excellent and provided an insight into Japanese Cuisine. Each dish was served individually by attentive staff although their knowledge of English was limited. A great experience

No district of Kyoto is quite as representative of its
blended nature as the City Center. By day, the covered

bring deal hunters and fashionistas out in droves to
peruse the clothing, accessories, gifts, and home

is a hip spot for nightlife, alive with bars and

Hi, I wanted to clarify that when you make reservations, one has to pre-order already the food you will be eating and that all of your group members must order the same food? I found the latter strange. Can you please help me clarify this point. Thanks.

When I went, I was in a group, but I think the price is for the meal and the grounds were free to walk round. Hope this helps, Robin.
